Funny Mountain Soya Bean in Ipoh is a popular and nostalgic spot that has been serving locals and tourists for many years. It’s famous for its smooth and silky tau fu fah (soybean pudding) and refreshing soya bean drinks.
The shop, located on Jalan Theatre, is often bustling with customers, and its unique drive-through service allows you to order and enjoy your tau fu fah without leaving your car, a testament to its popularity and efficiency.
The establishment is known for its traditional preparation methods and high-quality ingredients, which contribute to the rich and creamy texture of their desserts.
The soya bean drink is a favorite, with just the right level of sweetness and a fresh, natural taste. The tau fu fah, served with a light brown sugar syrup, melts in your mouth and has a delightful smoothness.
During my recent visit, I opted for their grass jelly drink, which was packed with generous amounts of grass jelly.
Every sip was filled with the refreshing taste of grass jelly, making it a truly worthwhile choice. If you’re a fan of traditional Chinese desserts, you won’t be disappointed.

Good pricing, good quality. Not a life-changing snack however I would recommend it and go back multiple times.
Served quickly and the staff are helpful. Next time I would like to try the pandan sugar syrup instead.

The soy milk drink is delicious and refreshing. A tad sweet, not sure if they add sugar syrup to it or that's the natural taste?
We visited again the following day for another snack and...
