Local folks are fond of referring it as Paloh Khoo Miu (Paloh Old Temple) in Cantonese. History of temple dates back to 1872. Rich in history and popular tales, ... ask the temple authorities and the old folks hanging around. On normal days, a serene place to explore in leisure for tourists interested in Chinese culture and Taoism. A good place to visit to get a feel of times gone past in normal time. On festive days, mix around with the large crowd and observe the giant colourful joss sticks and prayers...

Firstly, it’s not as grand as the temples in Singapore, KL or Penang. But this is a historical building in Ipoh build by the pioneers and immigrants back in the days. It’s special cause it’s still on after so many years. It’s a place my grandfather used to pray when they travel to Ipoh....
