Place is huge and kinda shouts 'cozy' and 'classy' (or 'posh', 'tony', 'swanky', etc.) , yet someone came up with the idea to fill up all that space with sound waves from loud music and singing. Total disharmony i'd say. Breakdown of yin and yang. It's hard to imagine 'cozy' as synonymous with 'noisy'.
Imagine chomping on that prawn or fish you ordered trying to savour its glory (to tell if you're getting your money's worth after settling the bill) and you need focus to do that, yet the neurotransmitters or electrical signals or whatever travelling back and forth from your tastebuds to your brain are deliberately, rudely, loudly and constantly interrupted by the same signals travelling from your ear drums to that same brain.
Could this possibly explain the mediocre review of the food here?????? God forbid it's also interfering the chef's focus and attention in the kitchen..!!
Seems like it's better off to turn it into a night club or restaurant where people could eat, drink and be merry amidst the noise. Something like what they used to have in the 60s or 70s (but with a modern and contemporary touch) with music and a singer on stage and a dance floor for people to groove. Stuff like that.
Those comments that mention cozy and romantic are probably the ones that went and left before the live band starts work.
Security guy who just stood outside there like a statue while watching your every move as you enter and exit the establishment may give you a certain anxious uneasy vibes.
Basically staff are young chaps (understandable: lower pay, easy to train, more productive, energetic) who, while still acceptable, may need to refine the nuances of customer service. For e.g. a bespectacled Chinese dude who presented the menu to me just keep shooting his mouth away while i'm trying to read the menu; how am i supposed concentrate to decide what to have on the menu? As if the blaring music and singing isn't already enough. I can barely even hear myself think.

All I can say “Please improve your service”. Your staff, I believe his name is “Tarence”, wearing a coat, seems to be a supervisor…his customer service was so bad.. SO RUDE!!
Even if your food and environment in the restaurant worth 5 stars but your service staff doesn’t know your menu well.
My issues are: Table of 6 people, but only 2 menus were given to us. Next time if you do not have enough menu booklet, utilised the technology to create QR code for your customer to review your menu.
When we ordered Tea, your staff Tarence replied “WHAT TEA?”. So what tea, 8 types of TEA but there is no details about what type of tea being offered and he was silent. GG!!
When we wanted to order lamb dishes, he told us “no lamb” but he is not proactive to suggest other dishes, only stay silent. Again, Tarence, you don’t get hired to stay silent in service line.
Again Tarence, he wanted to put us into round table that doesn’t fit 6 person, but with a condition - “Can, just order less dishes”. Are you hoping your customer to order less dishes to fit us into small table. I feel bad for the business owner 😑😑 at last we were given square table for 6 pax and it was really hard to move dishes around.
Food is okay, but I will never return to pay that service fee and contribute to your bad service...
Read moreFirst of all, it was great for all this while. But one incidents has happened last week Saturday. Is a fifth time i visited this place and I was getting a very bad treatment from the lady at the counter. If anyone hear the app " Drinkies ". Initially we just purchased Heineken from this apps as we are told that we can reclaim this beer voucher at this restaurant because they are part of the participating bars. So i proceed and show them the apps and claim the beer, but seems like the waitress and waiters not so sure about this app then they proceed to ask their counter reception and you know what, the moment i saw them then the reception counter lady raise a hand and signal me to get out and no such things call drinkies. ( for me i don't mind at all as i told them i can just order like regular order ) but we ask to leave the bar and we got treated like we can't. I mean i am speechless and disappointed. I told them is fine if we can't redeem the beer. And again , i told them is fine because i can order lie a regular client. The whole experience is really a disaster. The manager don't even bothered to solve the issue. Anyway is fine....
