Taste of food is slightly above average but choice of food is less but they have variety of coffee
Visited today. What I ordered are tuna egg sandwich, cham ice, gula melaka latte, kaya butter toast and a slice of lemon cake.
Tuna egg sandwich was cold. Maybe because of the fillings was stored in fridge. Cold fillings on bread not really appetite.
Cham ice, very diluted.
Gula Melaka latte, I ordered it in hot and hope it brings more gula melaka taste. Unfortunately, it was just a strong coffee without any taste and smell of gula melaka. I can see the guy put in effort in preparing my coffee but tbh…sorry to tell you that, it still taste bad and I feel like the coffee barista wasn't ready for today's menu.
Kaya butter toast, just okay. DIY, sapu the kaya and butter yourself. But a little advice, if you planning to let customer DIY, please don't slice the bread so thinly and don't cut the bread into half…quite hard to DIY lolx
Lemon cake, didn't really taste like lemon cake to me. It taste sweet sour and the lemon taste like more to lemon essence than real lemon.
Overall, the service was slow. But still I will give it a try again. Hopefully this cafe can improve as the environment is good. And hardly to see a cafe that serve that much of...
Read moreLove the coffee in this place, their house ice coffee brazil is good and if you are coffee lovers, you can try the many other types of coffee blend. Good & affordable price.
The char koay teow stall in front, has the best wok hei and the chilly sauce goes well with the fried noodles. Personally tried koay teow, koay teow mee, koay toew beehoon, the best combination is still the later and most tasty among all. Try to catch the char koay teow before 12pm, before it runs out.
The place is popular & crowded, the indoors could be noisy and echoing with bad acoustics, ppl talking & the music being played. Suggest to the owner, perhaps to place some plants or ornaments to absorb some of the sounds.
The outdoor seatings could be better if you want to catch some chats, however could be a little warm. Take your pick!

Read moreFar cry from their Bercham outlet. I had the butter kaya toast. Disappointed as I could see the kaya just came out from the fridge in a sad clump. Absolutely not spreadable, unless you wait an hour later. Price is about 50% higher than Bercham. Catch 22, low price cannot make up for rental which is higher in town, but such high pricing will kill any volume business. I think a 10% difference is reasonable but anything more is too much. The coffee is pretty similar to that of Bercham minus the nice touch of crackers to go with the coffee. The ambience is quiet and nicer than Bercham but it's not even air-conditioned to make up for the higher price. Also, the owner allowed his customer to smoke (even if e-cigarette) in the cafe even though it is clearly illegal and a...
