Read moreThe worst dimsum I ate in 30 years in Asia. I went there because the rating was good, and I had the idea to eat dimsum for lunch. The experience was terrible and the food was a disgrace. We ordered mutton brochettes which were so hard that we could not even chew them. We left half of them. We also had wonton. the wonton were too small, the noodles cold, and the soup was ways too salty. I know we could put the noodles into the soup, but unfortunately, the amount of soup was not enough for it. Finally, we had another dish which was extremely greasy and which we did not finish. I believe the people who rated 5 for this restaurant never ate the real dimsum in a proper restaurant. All in all, a complete disaster.
I cannot answer directly the comments of the owner, so I will complete my answer here. 1. I did not compare with all dimsum that exists in the world. Only those I have been before. I could name some of them (including Halal ones) to substantiate my answer, but I am just rating this restaurant. 2. I did not say anything about Muslim or Halal food. I think the comment of the owner is misplaced here and over reacting. 3. I am not a Chinese at all. I lived 30 years in Asia, including 15 years in Hong Kong. 4. I did substantiate my comments with the dishes we ordered in your restaurant. The lamb was not eatable, the other dish we ordered was too greasy, and the wonton was quite below par and too salty. We finish none of these dishes, and this has nothing to do with halal food or not. Yes, this restaurant is an insult to all good dimsum restaurants that exist all over the world (including halal once). My review of your restaurant is with specific facts and based on the dishes we ordered. Your answer is out of focus and suggests we did not like the food because this is halal. but this is not the case at all. if the lamb was to hard to chew, for example, this has nothing to do with being halal or not. 2 stars was already...
Read moreHad a really disappointing experience. First it took 10 minutes before someone noticed us and pointed us to get seated. Nobody came to serve us for another 20 minutes, which is when we went over to ask for a menu. We received one menu (while we later learned there are 3), that had very limited choices. We picked a few options and ordered on the app, when we immediately wanted to cancel when we saw the table next door had another 2 menus with a lot more choice. They wouldn't let us cancel even though it hadn't yet been prepared, so instead we just ordered extra dishes that were meant to be vegetarian. When it came with chicken I said I couldn't eat that as I'm vegetarian and it wasn't on the menu as meat, the waitress just walked off. We decided it was enough disappointment for one evening, so we wanted to pay and leave. I asked politely for the meat dish to be taken off the receipt, which took some convincing with the manager. They did take it off, so that was nice. We also had to pay a large service charge, whereas there was no service other than delivering the dishes (had to order everything on the app). I'm sure the food would be nice, judging from the reviews, but the service should be much better and if there is meat, it should be on the menu. *edited based on the owner's reply: we 100% went to this place in April. We have been traveling Asia so indeed been to Cambodia and other places too. I initially posted this review a week or two later. Feel free to do something with...
