Drinks - acceptable. Good range of beverages menu.

Service: VERY BAD esp at the counter. We were not greeted - that’s ok. When asked about “Handcrafted coffee” if it’s actually Pour Over coffee, that barista with grey/black hair answered: “Handcrafted coffee” (Not answering my question).

When i asked about what coffee beans are they using today - he said “Brazil”. I asked again, “which/what Brazil?” He straight away said Brazil with kinda rude voice. I asked AGAIN “Yeah but What Brazil? Brazil Cerrado? Brazil Santos?” He answered again without even wanna ask his colleague or check the coffee bag/details, just stood there answered “BRAZIL” and then i malas i terus proceed pay.

My advise is, barista isnt about being famous, or arrogant. You guys should highlight on the service as well, not only the menu/ specialty, give more information for those who keen to know about your coffee. Learn more on customer service please. Im not gonna repeat this cafe / nor recommend serious coffee enthusiasts/ friends to come here. Dont be...

After dinner, heavy rain led us to Kommons, intrigued by their Google reviews. The menu items looked appealing and Instagram-worthy, so we decided to give it a shot. It's pretty expensive, and if you're okay with smaller portions, you might still want to give it a try.

The citrus tart was decent, but the pear and chrysanthemum tea was a huge disappointment, tasting like cough medicine! Moreover, despite our request for less ice, the barista added in 50% ice, leaving us with only half a cup once we removed it. Their cup size was small, maybe just three sips' worth 🤪

Considering the price and portion, there are far better drinks available elsewhere. If you're aiming for good Instagram pictures, it might work, but I doubt I'll be coming back for a second visit. The customer service lacked friendliness; there wasn't even a smile. I didn't feel welcomed at all.

Apologies for...

K’OMMONS | IPOH

K’ommons Ipoh is a gem for great roastery coffee.

Best accomplice in their coffee is the great use of awesome milk. Smooth and creamy.

Minimalist contemporary decor with understated charm. Clean lines with monolithic windows and natural light flooring the recesses.

They are passionate in creating unique coffee experience and has just the right laidback vibe to unwind with freshly poured coffee.

Rich flavors of arabica roasted beans coupled with expertly brewed cuppas - every sip was delightful. If you want a reprieve from all the local Kedai kopi - K’ommons is the spot to go to.

Ps: I love those little tags that come with your coffee orders that explains the tasting notes of your cuppa. Collect 10 and you get a coffee on the house. Great incentive for coffee education. . . 📍 G-1, Ground Floor, Travelodge Ipoh Hotel, Jalan Raja Dihilir,...
