I had dinner there with my wife and 2 kids. The atmosphere was nice, but the food was not as nice as the pictures. We ordered beef belly, Coconut Chicken soup, sweet and sour chicken and white rice. The sweet and sour chicken was alright but the beef belly and coconut chicken soup was not so nice. In the menu it said that the beef belly had radish, dried chillies and etc, but when the dish came it didn't have any dried chillies inside it. The reason we ordered that instead of the lamb belly was because of the dried chillies(we wanted something spicier). When we told the staff, she said the chilli was inside, but when I searched the dish, we couldn't find any and said we wanted the chilli. They took it back and just added the chilli without cooking it, you can see clearly the chilli was just on top of the dish and not even mixed, so it didn't make the dish any spicier. You couldn't even put it back in the wok and fry it again. So then we asked for chilli oil coz it is standard for Chinese restaurants(especially of this standard) to have chilli oil. They said they didn't have chilli oil.
Next disappointment was the coconut chicken soup, at first when you eat it is is rich and creamy you can tell it is high quality but after that you can't even taste any sour and salt, just creamy and a hint spicy. The more we ate it the more we felt like vomiting because there was no balance of sour, salty, spicy and creamy. To fix that problem I asked if I can have some fish sauce with cut chilli padi. It took them such a long time to get back to us and the answer was the fish sauce is only for the kitchen to use and not for the customer. This restaurant is a high class, expensive Chinese/Thai restaurant what kind of a Thai restaurant does not give fish sauce to the customer when they asked for it. I just couldn't eat anymore of it and so I asked them for some lime and some salt. It took them so long for me to get such simple things. I asked 4 different waiters. After getting those things and I added it to the soup, we can finally eat it.
The only waiter that was doing his job was this Malay man with long hair, he was good, the rest of them were quite useless.
I have to say though their drinks were nice, the waiter recommend us some of their mocktails and it was good.
My advice is for you to improve the quality of your service...
Read moreI’ve been eyeing this restaurant for quite a while. Honestly, I thought that with its location, the prices would be on the high side, so I never dared to walk in—until today, when I decided to bring my family for a try.
To my surprise, they offer a set lunch menu at very affordable prices, starting from just RM18.90. That’s a pretty good deal for the variety they have.
Here’s what we ordered: • Thai Basil Chicken Minced Rice – The chicken was tender and had that wonderful ‘wok hay’ aroma, which was impressive. • Tom Yam Glass Noodles Soup – The taste was great, ingredients were sufficient, and the broth was flavourful. However, there was a downside: too much residue like lemongrass bits, which made it a little hard to enjoy to the fullest. • Japanese Tomato Ramen Soup – The soup was rich and delicious, though the noodle portion could have been a little more generous. The empty bowl at the end spoke for itself. • Crystal Shrimp Dumpling – This was a pleasant surprise! Tasted fresh and could rival those from famous dim sum restaurants in Ipoh. The shrimps were plump and fresh. • Thai Pandan Chicken – A bit on the saltier side, but still full of flavour with tender chicken. My family loved it.
Drinks: • Green Thai Milk Tea – Authentic in flavour, though a bit too sweet for my liking. • Honey Lemon Tea – Very refreshing.
Service & Ambience: The waiters and waitresses were polite and friendly. One hiccup: we ordered pandan chicken to take away while dining in, but it still wasn’t served even after we had paid. Not sure if it was forgotten or just peak-hour delay. Also, the seating area where we sat felt hot despite having an air conditioner above—might need some maintenance.

Read moreIf u are looking for a quiet dim sum place in Ipoh, it definitely is the only place to go. The reason is, the service is weird, not all food is satisfying but it is really pricey. I think we are willing to pay for expensive but nice, tasty food. Let's talk about the service, the waiter and waitress forever hiding in the corner and leaving the customer lonely in the dining hall. If u are looking for help, u need to shout a little bit louder than usual as they forever couldn't see your wave. Come to the food, some of the food is nice and some is just acceptable for taste but not for the price. Like the bbq bun, I only find a little meat in it and it tastes like those quite old dim sum restaurants in Georgetown, only the shape is different. For those steam dim sum, the skin is too thick and stiff a little bit. You won't expect it in dim sum. I hope they can focus a little more on the quality of the food and service, and here definitely will be the favourite dim sum place for...
