This dim sum restaurant is not just some random "spin off". Instead, facing the established dim sum behemoths, it has taken a slightly different approach serving artisanal style dim sum to stand out from the rest of the crowd.
There are a few commendable aspects. Starting with the food. The 芝麻棗 here are chewy, unlike it's counterparts which deep fried as hard as stones. Portion is decent enough relative to the price. Vibe is akin to some restaurant chains like 鼎泰豐 with the kitchen viewable from the outside.
But as always, not sticking to the traditional playbook means some inexplicable drawbacks in terms of the taste. For example, the 燒賣 is way too moist in the inside. The 小籠包 looks spectacular from the inside but it's just an utter of disappointment
This is not the usual dim sum where they are served on carts or pre steamed. So might have to...

The thing I like most about this restaurant is that the food are served hot.. Which is great compared to some other dimsum restaurants 👍🏻
There's a lot of food choices The szechuan beef tendon noodle is a must try ✨ The noodles are smooth and chewy. The broth is just nice and not too oily.
The deep fried yam dumpling is very tasty, juicy and crispy.. It's not the dry texture like what I've tasted from other restaurants before.
Try the deep fried eggs century rolls with cheese if you love cheese, like me. Haha.
**They even offered free tea during promotion period...
Read moreGave it a try because the place looks fancy and seemed like it offers top quality dimsum. To our disappointment, it didn’t meet any expectation at all.
The atmosphere is one of the better ones in Ipoh but sadly the food can’t match. Fried carrot cake tasted normal, the truffle scallop siewmai was very mediocre for its price. Fried 芋角was nothing special. The worst was the 大红袍 tea, served in a fancy pot set but really it’s very low quality tea leaf. For this standard, it is surely overpriced! Sorry to say, this place might give Ipoh Dimsum a bad name.
To those who wanna try this place for aesthetic, go ahead. If you wanna discover good food, I suggest you spend your money...
