Boss explained that these were "eunuch" free range chickens reared for 4.5 months. It must be the toughest chicken I have ever eaten. The meat is naturally tasty but really really tough. The hor fun soup was really good.. soup was full bodied and really tasty (not from msg), must be the result of the chicken used in the stock. Had bean sprouts and lady's finger with light seasoning, which were naturally sweet and crunchy. Also ordered prawn in coconut juice.. prawns were fresh, but not memorable. Read moreThis was my first time trying "enzyme free-range chicken." It looked pretty similar to regular farmed chicken—the portion was big, with thick, meaty cuts. In my impression, free-range chicken should be smaller with leaner meat, but maybe the chickens at this shop live a good life and eat well. The chili sauce provided was made with enzymes, which is different from the usual ones at chicken rice shops—it was quite tasty.

Read moreGreat concept for their enzymatic Free Range Chicken to promote good health & nutrition but I found the chicken was tough and chewy. 😒 It could be overcooking or just the nature of the free range chicken. 🤔 I wouldn’t travel all the way for their chicken again since the location of the shop is not convenient, but if you like to try their special chicken which it’s not commonly found in other places, do give it a try. 😏
