Unfortunately for us we had to deal with a prick of a Manager named Kelvin Ong. Young and arrogant lacking in wisdom and manners. We would have gladly left the premise if we had gotten a full refund on the spot! Kelvin told us downright we should leave if unhappy but of course he did not commit to a full refund. If a person with his lack of calibre and lacking much more can hold a managerial post then I would expect a monkey can make CEO!
However, fortunately we had 2 gentlemen Mr Wan & Mr Hanif at the front desk who saved the day. These gentlemen are sympathetic, compassionate, understanding, professional, etc. They have all the traits of a Manager yet Hermitage Boutique house decided a rude prick would be more suitable for the managerial post?!
Even the gentleman in housekeeping was extremely helpful and polite.
Some establishment turns sour due to poor management but this place we trust is solely saved by the good people mentioned above rather than a rude manager.
Rooms and facilities may not be the cleanest but bearable.
This accommodation has potential for higher ratings/more stars with proper management and I strongly believe improvement can only take place if they removed the...
Read moreAt a glance the hotel looks interesting and quite attractive. But the details and design can be hazardous (jutting corners of bed platform catch your legs, the sofa too; you've to walk down sometimes wet stairs, and past a wet floor by the swimming pool and boisterous children to get from your suite to the exit or reception) or impractical to clean (trellis frames of mirrors) and therefore remain somewhat dusty. The pedestal basins might look interesting but that leaves no countertop space around the sink for your toiletries, only a tiny glass shelf. Our sink pedestal was leaking out of its base. I'd suggest keeping up with the times and affix a big-size hand soap dispenser by the sink and bath gel, shampoo, and hair conditioner in the shower cubicle. Instead of giving a tiny bar of soap and those fiddly tubes of shampoo and bath gel. And two guests mean two hand towels, not one, and two hand towel rings, please. A couple of hooks in the bathroom would be useful too. We moved rooms twice but none of the safes were working. The staff are commendable and helped us with several matters. Finally, please don't put guests in a room smaller than what they booked. It's just common...
Read moreWhile I had high hopes for a relaxing getaway with my family, unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations. Upon arrival, I was met with a series of issues that rendered the room intolerable and raised significant safety concerns.
The room was dusty, and the balcony had noticeable bird droppings. There was an unpleasant smell coming from the tap water, the sink was clogged and dirty. As it that wasn't enough, a gecko seemed to be making itself at home in the clogged sink. The most concerning issue was the malfunctioning door chain lock. The lock appears broken and poses a serious security risk to the guest safety. Not exactly the complimentary amenities I was hoping for.
Given these problems, I felt compelled to check out within 30 minutes of arrival to prioritize my family's well-being and safety.
It is understandable that occasional issues can arise, but the combination of these problems was unacceptable. What was supposed to be a relaxing weekend turned into a stressful experience. I sincerely hope that the hotel management will address the hygiene and maintenance concerns to ensure the safety and comfort of...
