Comments 2023: i booked on Farther's day dinner. Keep us long waiting, we have been asking along the time but they keep telling us to wait till our turn. We noticed the people who came after us already finished their dinner, and we still waiting. After waiting for 1 hours, we ask to cled since my parents can't wait anymore, they were hungry. The person in charge said argue in front of us and they juz realised they mistaken our menu to others and skipped us. That's why our dinner didn't served because they already given other table. After they realised, still asked us to wait, but seeing the dishes that come out from kitchen wasn't ours, we are frustrated and rejected. I better go somewhere else to have my Father's Day dinner. The most terrible thing is the person in charge told us to come early next time, i think it's unreasonable and terrible attitude since i had made booking early a weeks ago, stated clearly the menu and the time. They didn't think it's was their fault for mistaken our menu to others, and blame us for coming late. Actually we came on the time.

I had always went to Soon Lee to celebrate every important event like families member birthday, Mother's Day, Father's day and reunion dinner for the past years. But the experience during this year made us disappointed and we decided not to came here anymore.

My family and I were there for a reunion as well as a farewell dinner. As we were not familiar with the area, we asked the staff regarding parking when we arrived. The owner's wife who was also present pointed a spot for us to park but it was in a very dirty area and also did not look safe. She was very arrogant and said if we don't want to park there, others will still be parking there. Then she walked off. Food was okay and price was fair. The vegetarian stuff were good and they don't seem to communicate with the main kitchen which cooks the non vegetarian food. There seem to be some rivalry between the kitchens and staff. After the dinner was over, the staff didn't pay any more attention to us especially after we paid the bill. My dad who is wheelchair bound had trouble exiting the main door but no staff helped us, unlike the time when we were coming in. What a rubbish service. We decided to have dinner at this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the serene ambience, especially since it was quite empty around 6 PM. The menu featured some intriguing options, and we were particularly drawn to the curry prawns served in bread, which promised a unique twist.

The roasted meats did not disappoint either; they were flavorful and well-prepared, adding to the overall enjoyment of our meal.

However, the service left something to be desired. It took nearly 20 minutes for the first few dishes to arrive, which felt a bit longer than expected.

On the plus side, the location is quite convenient, as it’s within walking distance from Taiping Mall, making it an easy stop for dinner after a day of shopping.
