The wantan mee from SBay Wantan Mee is quite good. The char siew is quite similar to what’s available at Toast and Roast, which is the kind that has a good glaze on the outside, and the meat is slightly on the fattier side (but not too fatty), a good mix of sweet and savoury. Definitely one of the better char siew that you can get on a plate of wan tan mee around Klang Valley.

The noodles are decent, pairs well with the char siew. Portion sizes are quite generous and worthwhile too, I ordered their large portion (in the photo), but I would say that their medium size is equivalent to large portions elsewhere. However, their wantan is quite salty, and the meat inside don’t taste that good.

We were led to this Kopitiam while looking for the elusive Sbay wantan mee we read on Google news feed. This place is a modern version of our traditional Kopitiam with multiple stalls serving local hawker fares and a 'small or big fried' kitchen for dinner. We ordered the wantan mee with the signature char siew or bbq pork slices that the foodie raved about. The serving is attentive and courteous. Prices are very wallet-friendly. We also pre-booked some braised chicken feet for tomorrow as the dish is fully booked for today. There is also a makeshift stall at the 5-foot walkway in front of the place selling a good spread of local desserts and snacks. Parking is a challenge here for should be d be okay...

A few days ago we had news that there would be a new Wan Tan Mee place opened at Damansara Uptown. Then a girlfriend of mine surprised us with special delivery service. Delivered right at our doorstep, freshly made wan tan mee!

Portions were generous. Price was introductory! The noodles were just nice, springy noodles and not lumpy or soggy. I was told by the meat eater that the wan tan and char siu are also delish! Can actually see from the pictures that it was grilled to perfection! Overall, satisfactory. Very very generous amount of noodles and meat portions, mind you.. If you are around that area, go and...
