Lasagna was very watery with only two strips of sheets. Literally about 2-3 pieces of 5cm long, 2 cm wide sheets. It was like drinking mixture of oil and watery curry . I was left hungry after wasting rm28 on that soupy mess. Eggs Benedict had some curry topping and not hollandaise sauce. Lunch set came with a glass of 'juice'? I was unsure what I actually drank because it was tasteless but the waiter who barely spoke any malay or English and can't describe the menu said that it's 'juice'. Banana crumble cake was dense , tasted like soap and smelt like the very strong unpleasant air freshener in the restaurant, couldn't finish it and threw it away. Went twice in a day thinking that maybe I just ordered the wrong thing for lunch and since I was in the area still , went for dinner hoping it would be better but turned out worse with the water/curry oil soup a.k.a lasagna. Went there after reading good reviews but was shocked with this experience . Never again.
Edit -to reply on owner's sarcastic and rude response on my review
You have the audacity to question me consuming something I paid for. Are you looking for charity where I pay for something that I don't consume?
2)about going twice -I thought the smell was something that might be temporary (thought that it was air freshener smell or maybe a table cleaner solution which might go away after some time ) hence decided to give it another chance since the horrific traffic in that area prevented me from going elsewhere and I believe in giving people second chances . Also I had the soap cake that smelt like the restaurant AT HOME AFTER DINNER . If I had known it was that bad I wouldn't have visited again. But turned out that this 'restaurant' has no redeeming quality and an arrogant owner based on...
Read moreLocated at Block A (on the opposite side of Pizza Mansion and Feeka), 15Eleven Cafe is a new addition to the Happy Mansion neighbourhood. During my visit, I ordered the Mapo Tofu Pokebowl, Meatballs Rustico, Devilish Chicken Pie, and Lime Asam Boi.
Let's start with the Mapo Tofu Pokebowl. This dish offers a unique twist on the traditional pokebowl that you would find in popular pokebowl chains. The combination of rice, egg, vegetables, and the tofu chicken mix creates a delightful fusion of flavors in your mouth. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy, which is what you would expect from a quality pokebowl dish. It was definitely my favorite dish of the day.
Next up is the Meatballs Rustico. This dish was a delight, with its homemade bolognese, meatballs, and buttered buns. Personally, I would have preferred the bolognese sauce to have an extra punch with either some chilli powder or hot chili pepper, but that's just a matter of personal preference. The overall taste was still great.
The Devilish Chicken Pie was also enjoyable. The minced chicken filling was well-seasoned and had a nice balance of flavors. The top of the pie had a lovely crunch, and the sprinkle of herbs added a delightful aroma to the pie.
To complement the meal, I also tried the Lime Asam Boi. This drink washed everything down with just the right touch of "asam". Unlike other shops that tend to make it either too sweet or too bland, 15Eleven's version was perfectly balanced.
Overall, I would rate 15Eleven a solid five stars. If you're in the area and looking for something different to try that will tickle your taste buds, and would prefer to avoid the long queues at the nearby pizza eateries, then 15Eleven is the perfect...
Read moreIf you want to come and hang out with friends sure, atmosphere and ambience was nice. Food wise was a a let down. My friends and I ordered beef burger and I ordered add on extra patty coz I we thought it would be normal decent homemade patty. I mean I do homemade patty so I know it was somewhat easy to create one out of minced beef. Guess what, turns out the double patty was 4 pieces of BURGER RAMLI BEEF PATTY. 😂😂 If I had known I was eating ramli burger for RM35.20, I would have chosen to order the chicken chop. 😂 I didn't get to speak to the boss because I was busy catching up with my friends and I didn't want to ruin my time with imy friends because we rarely meet. Fries was nice, Salad is just 2 palm size Green leaves, 1 tomato, some shredded carrot. But the burger beef patty was the biggest scam. It was salty, bougie priced ramli burger on a sourdough brioche. If they charge me rm15 for that whole ramli set, I would've been okay but RM35.20. Not really. I think my roadside RM9 Ss2 ramli burger has better taste than a bougie breaded ramli in this shop. There's also 1 short male hair in the chicken patty in my other friend's pasta too, do I wanna make a fuss about it when it came out, no, it was a normal decent taste 2 homemade chicken patties with carbonara fettucine but after the bloody expensive ramli burger, I can't take it. 😅 But, I gotta hand it to them, they gave us their free tiny...
