We wanted to have a small surprise birthday celebration here. We had passed our cake to the staff early then when the birthday star arrived, we had a few light bites.
The food was good, we had the chicken fingers that had a good savoury sauce with a hint of spice to it that was nice and a carbonara which was thick and creamy.
Our issue came when we subtly asked the staff to take out the cake and they simply presented it to us. The box still wrapped up in a bow as we brought it and plopped it onto our table. They didnt bother to unbox and present it. We didnt expect a whole song and dance, no way but at least present it as a surprise 😅
We were in disbelief and i had initially thought they might have misunderstood that we just wanted to take it home but while we were still frozen in shock, the waiter came and gave us plates which means he definitely thought we were having it here.
We saved our own birthday surprise by getting the birthday person to close their eyes while we got the cake out ourselves and lit our own candle then got them to open their eyes again 😭🤣
Anyway, we wouldn’t recommend getting the staff to help with anything related to surprises or the like, we were a bit disappointed that our surprise was ruined but luckily we were able to just make the most out of it
The food is good, came here occasionally since it’s a nice hangout spot with decent food but no longer for...
Read moreI had the pleasure of trying a variety of dishes at Good Blue Men in Happy Mansion, Seksyen 17, and each one was a delightful culinary experience.
Sarawak Laksa Pasta: The Sarawak Laksa Pasta was a fusion of flavors that worked harmoniously together. The creamy and aromatic Sarawak laksa sauce paired perfectly with the pasta, creating a unique and satisfying dish. It was a delightful twist on a classic Malaysian favorite.
Kam Heong Sandwich: The Kam Heong Sandwich was a burst of savory goodness. The fragrant Kam Heong sauce added a delightful spicy kick to the tender sandwich fillings, making it a memorable and satisfying choice. The combination of flavors and textures was spot on.
Earl Grey Cheesecake: The Earl Grey Cheesecake was a true dessert masterpiece. The subtle Earl Grey flavor infused into the creamy cheesecake was both unique and delicious. Each bite was a delightful balance of sweetness and aromatic tea notes. It was a perfect ending to the meal.
Special Iced Matcha: The Special Iced Matcha was a refreshing and indulgent beverage. It had a rich and smooth matcha flavor that was beautifully complemented by the sweetness of the iced version. A great choice to accompany the meal.
Combined with the attentive service and inviting ambiance, dining at Good Blue Men was a good experience that I would highly...

So, what's a few bucks extra for some really good food and ambiance? I'd pay for it, when the food & service is great.
I came early for dinner, cause i know this place gets really crowded with a wait list. The best part is that you see more 'older people' who are starting to enjoy the millennial lifestyle, cafes, FOMO, Instagrammable places (or Facebookable places 🤭) and so on. Thanks to social media, its places like these that become very popular.
Overall, I'm there to eat and move on, so that's just what I did. The food is great, without doubt affordable. The service is quick and staff are attentive, possibly due to the small space. If its crowded, you may have to share a table.
The dishes are very interesting with a great mix of Western, European and Asian. Good dessert and drinks selection. Didn't try the coffee, but perhaps one day, i may. This is a total lifestyle kind of place, and best visited on weekdays before peak hours. They have an interesting weekday...
