First visit was during a weekday and we went early around 11am+ , everything was good and food taste quite great too. Thats why we given them second visit. But it was totally freaking disappointed with their staff's attitude and behavior. I was alone and being considerate , i took the smallest table and sit down by 12pm. Took my order after 5 minutes then in short while the piece of paper with what I have ordered send to me (including my drink). There were 3-4 tables occupied with customers enjoying their banana leaf rice. I was comfortably scrolling my phone and realized not even a piece of banana leaf rice serve. So i decided to signal (hand sign) one of the male staff who pass by me. He then come to me showing his fed up and impatient face , telling me " wait la" . Then finally banana leaf arrived but without rice. Ok, then i need to request for rice and also request for lauk and my kuah separately. Quite ridiculous right, should they just telling every customer we shall DIY , take our own rice, lauk and kuah? And when I requested for the kuah, the same male staff was coincidently holding the kuah and having eye contact with me, but he heading to the kitchen to refil it, and walk passed me place the kuah back to a customer's table which they are not using it anymore. Ok fine, i request the kuah from other staff instead. By 12.40pm, I have finish quarter of my meal. By then there were queue line and all table was occupied. Suddenly one of the female (fair skin worker) who actually stare a few times when she walked passed my table. She then finally came to me requested to clean up my plates , obviously only one of the plate is empty, others including my banana leaf rice is still there. Therefore I rejected her and say No, I havent finish yet, she then leave my table with sour face . You guys serving me 12.15-12.20pm, chasing me off by 12.40pm? My whole 2nd visit was truely unpleasant. Referring to your quotes which placed on your counter " ZERO TOLERANCE - Aggressive and abusive behavior will not be tolerated." This is consider a silent abusive to customer. No matter how quality your food is, service is always important. Not requested for a 5 star service, at least a reasonable service provided. Hope you will improve your staff 's...

This place has seen better days. It used to be really good - food, atmosphere and service. But it looks like the glory days are long gone.
Service is lackluster - after giving them several chances, to account for "off days", it seems like bad service is now the norm and not just a small bout of bad form. Staff look so unhappy and it shows in the level of attentiveness. I'm not asking for 7 star hotel service, but the least they could do is take your order, and bring the food in a timely manner - especially if it's just a few tables during non peak hours! Instead, they run around aimlessly, and only bring the banana leaf when asked multiple times. Again, non peak hours, with barely 5 tables.
Food portions are meager - they used to be generous, but I guess once you get a steady flow of customers, you can start skimping on what brought them there in the first place. Taste is kinda still good but the portion of the side orders has greatly diminished, and at this current climate, everyone expects some bang for your buck when it comes to spending your hard earned money. Again, not asking for a mountain of whatever I order, but don't take me for a ride and charge me too.
Atmosphere is long gone - they used to be clean and tidy, now it's larger but compromises on cleanliness. Shoddy floor works, with gaping holes where the old counter used to be (they've patched it after months but still shoddy). It's slowly devolving from an "upscale" BLR to your run of the mill Indian restaurant. Not a bad thing, but don't position your pricing to be what you're not.
For this level of service, atmosphere and food quality, there's plenty of alternatives.
[OLD REVIEW] Perhaps one of the most accessible BLR restaurants in PJ.
What I mean is, it's not as chaotic as your average BLR restaurant. It's a decently sized place, service is good, food is great, prices are reasonable.
If you want to bring a friend who's not yet experienced BLR, then this is the place to bring them. It's not intimidating or overwhelming, it's clean and you order what you want, not being forced to pick off the plates shoved in your face.
The last call is 9:30pm, so plan accordingly. They Indian rice/brown rice is charged...
Read moreMy friend and I went for lunch today. There appeared to be a system for people queuing outside, we got a spot for two inside fairly quick. We submitted our order sheet within 5 minutes because how hard can banana leaf rice be right? We only got the slip acknowledging our orders about 10 minutes later. The speed of the service was downhill from there. We waited and helped ourselves with the rassam by a counter, we had to refill twice because our food did not come. Our side dishes - chicken 65 and fried bitter gourd - eventually arrived. We had to remind the waiters that we existed only then we got our banana leaves. Next, we sat there staring at our rassam, side dishes and empty banana leaves while waiting for the rice and vegetables. Rice and the curries eventually arrived. We were asked to help ourselves with the curries while the waiter zooms off elsewhere to handle another customer. Not a problem - we did it ourselves because we could banjir the rice the way we like it. But where are the vegetables? We were not served the vegetables. We were hungry so we ate our drenched rice with the two side dishes. Curries were good. The chicken was hot and tasty but the bitter gourd was cold. We continued asking for the vegetables while eating whatever we had. The vegetables finally came, they were tasty but a tad bit too late as we were already halfway through our rice and almost done. So we asked for more rice since there’s the vegetables now, and guess right, we waited for that again. We were waiting so long between each phase that we forgot about papadoms, the extra rice arrived and got the papadoms when asked. My friend’s yogurt was not served and we were charged, they removed it from the bill and apologised. All in all, it is a good banana leaf but not to be consumed in part like our lunch. This has to be the longest banana leaf lunch I’ve ever had. Perhaps go when there’s less people because the staff did not appear to have a system serving customers. Much room for...
