When you step into Pizza Mansion, the first thing you will notice is the music. They have a banging playlist with music which reminds you of the emo days when you were a teenager in the 2000s and 2010s. Plus points for the ambience already.

Unfortunately, you might have had to wait a bit before stepping into the restaurant itself. Do expect a 15-30 minute wait during dinner time. Book ahead if necessary, but trust me the wait is worth it.

The first time my wife and I came we ordered the Big Brunch (not pictured) and the Pesto Pasta. We loved the Pesto Pasta and I definitely recommend trying it. The Big Brunch however had a little bit of a soft centre (due to the runny egg) but it was very solid in terms of taste. The crust of the pizza has a perfect balance of crispness on the outside with an interior which is still soft and fluffy. The toppings were also very delicious. The rocket used on the pizzas are certified F-R-E-S-H!

My wife and I recently came a second time with my sis-in-law. The quality of the pizzas have stayed consistent from the last time we visited a few months ago. This time around we ordered The PM, Pineapple Express, and of course Pesto Pasta. The consistency of the pizza and the crust was still there. The whole pie was thoroughly cooked and served piping hot to us. (The Big Brunch was a little undercooked in the centre due to the runny egg as mentioned above).

Just like our first visit, the ingredients on the pizza really stood out. Fantastic roasted cherry tomatoes on The PM. Deliciously juicy roasted pineapples, flavourful smoked duck breast and just the right amount of jalapeños on Pineapple Express.

Again the Pesto Pasta did not disappoint. The basil pesto and the pasta were integrated beautifully, with the almond flakes giving the dish a nice crunch when eating.

A fair warning, the pizzas here are on the oilier side (but they are pizzas guys, come on, it’s supposed to be oily). If you are a huge fan of Domino’s pizza, do be aware that this pizza is closer to the NY style crust and will have more oil, so adjust your expectations accordingly.

Altogether, our meal was a little on the higher end as we also ordered beer with our pizza and pasta (approximately 50MYR per person after tax).

TL;DR:

Pros - fantastic pizza with fresh ingredients and beautifully cooked crust, sublime pesto pasta, playlist which slaps 👏👏👏 (giving the place a great ambience)

Cons- a little bit of a wait...

The food is great, atmosphere is decent. Sadly the missing 2 stars is due to...

  1. it's a halal restaurant. If I wanted a halal pizza I would probably get a better size pizza for a cheaper price from dominoes. What's a pizza restaurant without Italian sausage, or pork pepperoni. When I was there, almost all the tables are Chinese and the non-pork eaters weren't even eating pizza. It's the same issue I have with Korean bbq. You can't sell Korean bbq without their pork belly. Same reasoning.
  2. the pizza tossers isn't experienced enough to toss the pizza well enough that when you put in the oven, the dough comes out soggy. It's nice to have an open kitchen. But if the way they toss is "fast food chain training" at best. Then it's quite pointless.

Would I ever return? Maybe. The highlight for me, is probably the chilli oil. Everything else is mediocre at best. My 3stars are given to :

  1. staff Ivan. Friendly and accommodating. The others are good enough
  2. atmosphere and menu variety/flexibility
  3. location. Easy to get to with plenty of parking space. Very quiet and almost secluded from any major traffic tight spots

My suggestions to help the experience on dining :

  1. I had the window seat in front of the oven. Pretty hot. Was sweating quite a bit there. And if someone was sitting behind me (the table for 2 by the wall), my sitting space is almost crammed.
  2. tinted windows may help in the afternoon as I was on the window seat with the sun glaring at me and the sun reflection from other car windshields.
  3. staff hygiene. (I was there from 1230 -1445). As business gets slower in the late afternoons, I saw the guy who cuts the pizza out for a cigarette. I'm a smoker myself, but I don't want to see my food be fondled by someone who doesn't wash their hands after having a cigarette break.
  4. open kitchen concept. Since pizza mansion is using this concept, please inform the staff that, customers can see all indecent habits. Please keep it to themselves until they finish work.

If the staff or owners reads till this line. I'm appreciative that you took the time to read...

Food was great, but I never expected such poor service from the floor staffs which lead me to a unpleasant experience.

IMHO, I will NOT RECOMEND if you are coming with family / group which more than 5 pax because the floor staff was not quite accomodating and less common sense as well.

We came at 2.15pm, 4 adults, 2 kids & 1 infant. It was full house, there was a short queue about 2 table infront after we registered.

It was a hot noon, since left only one more table infornt, so I decided to carry the infant in to wait because there was aircon. One of the staff attended me earlier and tell me again I have to register and wait outside which i think his tone is not so pleasant, so so I told him again I registered already and he recomend me to stand outside but I told him i had an infant with me because outside was pretty hot. Another staff was ok, ask me to wait at the other empty table.

While waiting, i was observing the place and most of the table are able to move around and can be allocate if they willingly to do it but they didnt.

So this is epic when the staff told me that my table is ready and I HAVE TO THANK the family who move to a small table to let us have the table was allocated to them ealier.

In the first place, as a staff you should thank the family who give way for us because we are your customer. Where is your common sense? Haha this is really funny man.

When comes to order, the same staff tell us if we plan to order the 2nd round, we will wait very long because there long queue in the kithen, well i saw there is only 60% occupancy that time and before I could finish my order with my drinks, he already walk away. So I have to ask another staff to attend me again.

Well, I'm not sure is it infant is not welcome Pizza Mansion. If yes, I hope you guys can put up a notice "No Infant" allows.

As a customer I really has a bad experience. No matter how famous you are or how good your food is, customer service is really important as well. Please...
