Wild Sheep Home isnât a polished, picture-perfect cafĂ©. Itâs a little rough around the edges, but thatâs part of its charm. When itâs busy, service can feel a bit rushed, but you understandâtheyâre hustling, constantly on the move to keep up. This isnât just a coffee joint or your typical dessert spot. Itâs clearly a popular hangout, a place where the neighbourhood comes to relax. They also sell crochet trinketsâsmall, handmade items, likely from a local artist or a collaboration, showing they care about supporting local craftspeople.
They donât just serve coffeeâthey offer homemade ice cream with some seriously unique flavours like bitter caramel, oolong, and even coriander. The ice cream is the real star here: rich, well balanced, never too sweet, and far more interesting than your average scoop. The soufflĂ© is another highlightâcrispy on top, soft inside, paired with a bright citrus sauce that cuts through the richness perfectly.
The coffee is solid, with a smooth, well-balanced latte that doesnât shout for attention but holds its own. You get to choose your beans, which shows they care about the craft. The flat white and espresso arenât flashy, but theyâre reliable and satisfying. The âdirty coffeeâ is a love-it-or-hate-it thingâsome say itâs too light on coffee flavour, but if you prefer a mellow, milky drink, it works well.
The vibe is cosy and homely, with sunlight flooding a lovely back room under a glass roof, and plenty of plants and natural light. Thereâs even a bookshop upstairs, making it a nice spot to settle in with a good read. The interior feels a little old-school with mosaic tiles and large windowsâpart modern, part nostalgic.
Parking is a pain during peak hours, so expect to circle the block. The owners clearly love what they doâtheyâre hands-on, passionate about coffee and ice cream, and the place really feels like a...
Read moreOverall, I had a great experience here. It has a clean look with a homey feel. The menu left me panicky for a bit because it is so limited, that I thought they only served desserts.
I tried their fried mac and cheese, which sat upon a generous serving of pomodoro sauce. The other half of the plate was taken up by the omelette - it had a good balance between fluffy and dense, and was very well-flavoured. The fried mac and cheese had a very thick, crunchy batter around it and it could be a little more cheesy, but it was something new for me and I quite enjoyed it. Didn't really like the pomodoro sauce cause I can't stand the taste of such potent tomato HAHAHA.
My bf ordered a potato rosti with chicken karaage. The chicken is pretty huge, as you can see. đł And the potato rosti was light and soft, with a slight crunch to it.
Highly recommend the cold dark chocolate. It tastes like proper chocolate and not the chocolate milk types some places serve.
The red drink is called "What The Mary" and it was very interesting. The drink has the typical flavour of a watermelon-lychee drink, but with a soft herby taste to it - courtesy of the rosemary.
Service was great, staff were attentive, warm, and welcoming. Though the food did take a little while to arrive, despite the sparse crowd.
I didn't get to try their desserts, so will definitely go back again for them - and for their...
Read moreIf you are an ice cream lover or looking for good quality desserts, then you cannot, CANNOT miss this place.
Wild Sheep Home has been making ice cream with genuine ingredients since, forever! Once in a while, they will release 2-3 seasonal flavours for the time being.
The first picture shows the latest seasonal flavours: matcha and mint chocolate. The mint chocolate ice cream really is special. How so? The mint is freshly boiled with milk to reserve the scent (like how they did to their signature mango basil flavour) so it doesn't taste "fake" nor uncanny feeling, like toothpaste.
Second picture is coriander and bunga kantan (a type of flower that makes asam laksa fragrant). At first you would think "how can coriander be an ice cream flavour? It's so weird" and I tried it. And I was amazed that I was wrong. The ice cream is so creamy yet so light that it simply fits this hot and humid weather in Malaysia. And to top it off with the bunga kantan sorbet, this light and sweet and sour combination is god sent. No exaggeration. One of the weirdest ice cream flavour I have ever tried, and probably will be my all-time favourite for a long time.
Third photo shows their latest menu, they even serve soufflés and affogato now. If you're a coffee lover, don't miss it! They even made the soufflés on the spot! So make sure you're there an hour or two before...
