What truly elevates this dish are the generous toppings, which often include sliced pork, fish cakes, and a half-boiled egg, all swimming in that comforting broth. The fried pork lard bits scattered throughout are a delightful addition, adding an extra layer of crunch and flavor that makes it incredibly satisfying. They also offer a homemade chili paste on the side, which adds a fantastic spicy kick if you like it hot! Beyond their signature Loh Mee, Hock Kee also offers a good range of other dishes. Their Homemade Hokkien Mee is also highly recommended, with its rich, dark sauce and wok hei flavor. You might also find interesting options like Claypot Noodles with Yam for something different, or perhaps even a Mala Dried Noodle for those who enjoy a numbing spicy sensation. For sides, their Fried Fish Cake and Signature Fried Taufu are popular choices. Prices are generally reasonable, offering good value for the portion sizes and quality of food. ✨ Highlights you shouldn't miss: Signature Ulu Yam Loh Mee: The authentic, must-try dish with its distinctive dark gravy, springy noodles, and delicious toppings. Read moreI bought their signature yam loh mee and hokkien mee a few weeks ago. Typical Hawker Food! Quite cheap tho if I'm honest compared to other places I've been looking at so far.
signature yam loh mee I was actually going to buy their spicy one and I thought their signature one quite spicy but actually it wasn't spicy xD But hey it still taste good plus they have like seperate chili sambal and black vinegar I believe?
I didn't put any vinegar in my loh mee cause I don't really like vinegar but their sambal combination with their loh mee was pretty nice! It taste very homely I would say, can't describe precisely because I faintly remember them now xD but I still recommend this loh mee!
hokkien mee so long never eat this ady and I found that this place actually sell decent and nice hokkien mee, got the wok hey taste a bit, got pork lard( I think that's what they called, they also put in their yam loh mee!) and it just enhance their taste. I rarely go hawker buy hokkien mee they give this much pork lard eh. So definitely a win for me! another one I recommend!
overall recommend tho I don't really like the noodle after eating texture, other people find it okay but for someone who kinda have sensory issue would brush their teeth after the meal xD
btw I loveeeeee that they give such cute...
Read moreMe and my partner have been visiting for over 2 years. The food and drinks quality have been good until now, drinks are always full to the brim and food portions have always been big enough. The prices did increase slightly compared to last year, but the service and food quality never dropped, with the price still being affordable in this area. The staff have always been nice especially the grandma who still works and serves customers well.
Definitely will recommend to anyone who needs a nice Chinese food, as this shops deserves more customers every day. This place is always kept clean with proper utensils everywhere. This place is very underrated compared to other places that charge more for very poor quality food/less amount.
Small suggestion to the restaurant, please include your shop as part of the Grab Unlimited merchants on the Grab app, hope that will help with more purchases...
