Service is not bad. They do try but still slightly lacking. They missed out one of my orders and had an argument at the back when I enquired. I cancelled the order and argument stopped. We were 3 adults and 1 kid but the person taking order didn’t explain that each portion was only enough for one person. We ordered one soup and one dry plus sides. But the portion was so small we had to re-order and yet still wasn’t enough to feed us. Luckily the food wasn’t that good so we decided to go some other place.
The most important item was the BKT soup. It was thick like the Klang style but we all agreed it was at best an OK pork bone soup. There was none of the fragrance of the typical BKT herbs when you enter the shop. When we drank the soup, there was hardly any taste of the herbs.
Meat was tender. The enoki was overcooked and tough. Yu tiow was cold and tough. I know it’s 7.30 pm and near end of the day. But I’ve been to many BKT places where the yu tiow was still crisp even at 9 pm. What more in these days of air fryer there is just no excuse. I would suggest the management invest in an air fryer. Drop the yu tiow in an air fryer for 60 seconds and they’ll come out crisp and warm.
We ordered onion fragrant rice (葱油饭). What we got was oily rice but no fragrance of onions or garlic.
Soup was quite salty but not fragrant.
The drinks we ordered came in mugs not properly cleaned. We rinsed with hot water. But one of the mugs was so badly stained, I had to send it back.
Sorry to say I won’t be back and won’t recommend coz it just was not my cup of...
Read moreFood was OKAY but the charge for ice is honestly abit ridiculous 😅 RM2 for every bucket. And it’s a small bucket too. Can only fill 3 cups at best (included picture for reference). Imagine coming with my family of 5. Would spend at least RM10 on ice alone. Knowing how much ice cost direct from supplier (RM3.5 for a big bag), I think this should at least a one off charge that is refillable. Again the prices of the food are not the cheapest around either so don’t understand the cost for the ice.
Then comes to the food. In the picture it’s supposed to be for 2 pax. It’s all only stomach. We requested for half fat meat + stomach. At best we can see is about 6 pieces? Clay pot for 2 pax? Per pax is about RM20+ so total would be RM40+ for this amount. Its a little ridiculous 😅
Edit: after complaining, they did change the claypot soup for us with more meat but not that much more. No complaint there but with this exuberant price, i would not come back especially if I’ll be charged for wanting ice 🥹 especially in this crazy...
Read moreVery delicious bak kut teh. The taste on par with Klang one. It comes with few variety in bowl with constant fire or claypot style
Intestine is clean up very well and no special smell. All ordered meat are tasty but it can still improve and much better.
Order the steam egg. Very smooth and very well cooked. Must try if you want some additional dishes. Didn't manage to try every dishes. Surely will return for more.
The atmosphere is really good compare to any bkt in kota Damansara. Well ventilated with air conditioned.
Good service as the waiter automatically help you fill up your soup before it runs out. The waiters will monitor your soup level quite well. The fire under the soup last throughout my whole dining period making the soup hot and tasty to get consumed.
The price per bowl is near to RM 19. Compare to others are Abit pricey. As I spend about RM 70 with two rice, three bowls of bkt , steam eggs and a cup of chrysanthemum tea.
But I highly...
