Definitely not authentic Thai food and I certainly Would not recommend the food here. Quality of the ingredients is sub par and the cooks seem to not know what they’re doing.
Had the set meal that featured pineapple fried rice, pandan chicken , mango salad and what was labelled as fish fillet with Thai sauce. The fish turned out to be deep fried fish fingers that u can buy from the frozen section of your local grocer. The chicken was burnt, the rice had an awful texture and everything was just overly sweet.
Aside from this, we had the Tomyum where the soup paste appeared to be not combined with well where there was plenty of oil floating on the soup. It tasted blend, and the serving was small as well.
Drinks are pricey too and yet again is served super sweet and they’re not able to lower the sugar level as everything is already pre-mixed. This should have been a red flag as it shows that they don’t cater to the customer.
All in all lunch was close to rm 100 for 2 adults and it would have been better spent elsewhere. I for one am certainly not returning to this store especially when there are other Thai restaurants in 1Utama with better quality...
Read moreFood was bland, especially the steamed sotong. Service was terrible. In the remarks we asked to not put onions, but onions were still served. The steamed sotong came with a lit candle underneath it, usually mid eating the fire would go out. But it kept getting bigger until we finished eating. We noticed the fire getting bigger when we smelled something burning (hangit), so we called for the waiter to put it out. The workers all being foreigner, came back with a lighter to light it up more. We told him twice to turn it off but he just nodded. When he struggled and the candle metal part broke, i told him it’s okay and he can just leave it be. In the end, the fire was still on, and dangling on the table. This posed as a hazard so we left for them to clear the table ASAP (assuming this is the only understanding they have). I have nothing against foreigners working, but please at least have a Manager to oversee them. Some were not wearing mask while cooking in the kitchen, one waiter was fiddling with his teeth while staring at the TV. Please work on this so that customers can feel comfortable eating there. But i for sure will...
Read moreVisited the first time and found the dishes tasty, and decided on a second visit within the week. These were the dishes ordered. Loved the grill lamb slices which were so well marinated and texture was not dry or overly grilled. The 3pcs oysters were very fresh and good size. Served with assorted mix of garlic slices, fried shallots, chilli sauce and coriander. Both dishes recommended. Ordered the rice set which was tasty. Tuk tuk soup noodles with beef was flavorful. So was the Tom Yam Seafood soup noodles. Topping the meal with the tha thim throb which is one of the best in town. Succulent red rubies with generous slices of cempedak. Really love the shaved ice which was finely shaved. The Tako was also delicious and not too sweet. Recommended to try this newly opened branch. Service crew was...
