We came here for dinner on a weekday, and despite it being a weekday, the restaurant was almost full, which clearly reflects how well the business is doing. We were greeted at the entrance and promptly shown to our table. The restaurant is clean, and all the staff were wearing aprons, face masks, and head coverings — it's reassuring to see them adhering to hygiene standards.
We were unsure about a few items on the menu, and the server took the time to explain them to us patiently, which we really appreciated. All the staff who attended to us were friendly and helpful, even though they were clearly very busy.
We ended up ordering the Sharing Set for 2, priced at RM59.90, which included two drinks of the day. We also added an extra vegetable dish, which turned out to be too much for two people. The Sharing Set is certainly sufficient for 2–3 people as the portions are generous. For sharing sets, rice is unlimited, which is a lovely touch.
For our set, we chose the Clear Tom Yum with Tiger Prawns, Thai Kra Pow Pork Shoulder, and Thai Basil Omelette. We also added a dish of Kangkung with Pork Belly in Belacan for RM17.40. Personally, we found the Clear Tom Yum could be a little spicier and more sour. The Thai Kra Pow Pork Shoulder and Thai Basil Omelette were above average, but the Kangkung with Pork Belly was a bit too sweet for our taste.
It would be great if the air-conditioning could be cooler, as it felt a little stuffy with the restaurant being at full capacity.
Overall, the price is definitely reasonable considering the portion sizes, pleasant dining environment, and...
Read moreHave been frequent this outlet for lots of time. Food and price are consider affordable for a mall food. Ordered tomyum with rice set, red curry mamamee with pork chop set and added BKK soup with tofu and egg plus small bowl Babi-q(mooping). Set come served with free ice lemon tea.
Tomyum was out to go ordered dish. But this time around the tomyum tasted more sourly with little spice at the end of the note. Seafood served inside are fresh and cooked nicely like squid and fish. Although the taste was a bit different from last time, nevertheless is still good. Rice are not the usually fragrant Thai rice and fish crackers are ok.
Red curry mamamee are good. Nice savoury taste of mamamee soup with some thick red curry flavour. I think they missed out the egg that supposed to be put in the middle of the pot for typica mamamee serving. I didn’t verify but also only aware halfway thru the meal. The lemongrass pork chop is excellent. Good crisp batter and tender meat. Served with crackers too.
The BKK soup tofu and egg not to my liking. Soup taste like herbal braised soup but the egg and tofu didn’t submerged with the flavour.
Babi-q are good. Right amount of fat is served for this pork in a stick. The sauce are sour taste which I don’t like the combination. Taste nice just on it owns with tone of garlic flavor.
Overall the food here are good. I have returned a lot of times and try much of their menu which I can say nice for a Thai food. Environment could be a bit busy and noisy as they are usually crowded at peak time. One of my recommended place to...
Read moreA Thai fusion restaurant that serves pork. Many of their pork dishes, such as braised pork belly and clay pot chilly pork belly, reminds me of my mother's hokkien/teochiew food. Their clay pot pork belly is similar to the Cantonese clay pot salted fish pork belly without the salted fish but with basil leaves. Their braised pork belly is served with a braised hard boiled egg & preserved salted vegetables. Should try their BBQ pork neck & creamy green curry. Serves a mean Thai milk tea too. Their pandan leaf chicken's quality fluctuates from the soft & tenderly fried to the hard & difficult to chew stuff. They have a very nice snack of tempura fried young mango & papaya, but can sometimes be soggy at the base when oil is not drained off properly. And oh yes, they now have fried chicken skins. Otherwise, their Thai food is not really that authentic but are quite delicious, nonetheless. They used to have long queues sometime back when they had good value-for-money set meals & when they had their RM10 tomyam offer. At the moment they are having some 1derful value meals which are quite worth while. Serving staff are polite & helpful but do expect some long waits for your food when packed during meal times.
26 Sept 2021 They have just come out with some new value set meals. (See latest photo). And they are giving a 20% discount on all meals & dishes until the end...
