Went during lunch hour on a working day - no queue! 😁 The service is very welcoming and friendly; probably coz they werent so busy. Tables were full but it was obvious they were well staffed even on a weekday.
The Dosirak sets were worth the pennies. For ~RM20, not only you get chicken in your rice dish but also the fried chicken (in the small basket) in the flavour of your choice on the side. They come with a soft drink as well.
The seafood spicy ramyeon was not eye-watering spicy, so i managed to enjoy the taste of the kimchi soup. Well flavoured, though i did add more kimchi into the soup for extra kick. It had two big prawns and 4 or five mussels. It probably had some squid rings in it, but i can’t recall.
Jjajjangmyeon definitely tastes (and look) nicer than that in other Korean restaurants i’ve tried. They served with extra chilli powder on the side so one can add to suit one’s taste.
As my first experience in K-Fry, this will definitely not be the last. Will return for more. There are so many options in the menu, one can’t get bored. Kudos to a friendly server, Syafiq Hyatt, for the utmost patient run through of the menu as i was with friends who aren’t familiar with...
Read moreBad experience which is why it's a 3 star review. I'm someone who has been eating K-Fry whenever I choose to stay in Kuala Lumpur. The place where I usually go is One Utama Mall. However, on 16 September, time is around 13:15pm to 14:00pm, as I was dining with my family, a cockroach appeared out of nowhere. How can there be a cockroach in an famous F&B restaurant? Where is the cleanliness in this shop? We immediately had to catch the cockroach ourselves and informed the staff. Unfortunately, due to the incident, we lost our appetite and proceeded to takeaway the rest of our food and leave the premises after paying for our food. During the payment of our order, we proceeded to tell the cashier about the incident and was only replied with a "Sorry". I am profusely shocked with the attitude given. Yes, the service is great, waiting time is 15 minutes given it's a full house but the cleanliness? Obnoxiously disappointed. Tables were not very clean, left the premises with my clothes stained by oil stains left on table corners. And the food no longer tastes the same as it used to be. Expected better customer service but I'm only leaving with bad memories and...
Read moreK Fry Urban Korean at 1 Utama is where indulgence meets spectacle — especially when you order their signature Korean fried chicken with cheese. Served sizzling on a hot pan, the staff theatrically melts and wraps the gooey mozzarella around each golden-crisp piece of chicken, creating a deeply satisfying combination of crunch and creamy richness. The chicken itself is juicy, well-seasoned, and coated with a glaze that strikes a fine balance between sweet, spicy, and umami — exactly what you’d expect from a modern Korean joint aiming to impress both visually and gastronomically.
That said, the experience leans more toward decadence than subtlety. The portions are generous but heavy, making it best enjoyed as a shared dish among friends rather than a solo meal. The ambience is energetic and stylish — a little loud at peak hours, but in a way that fits the lively Korean street-food vibe. Whether you’re here to satisfy a cheese craving or to watch that molten cheese pull for the perfect photo, K Fry delivers a guilty pleasure worth the occasional...
