SideLine Restaurant & Sports Bar — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

Came here during their Borneo night. Booked in advance but they claimed they didn’t get the booking when I still have the test that I’ve book a table with them. Waited for a while cause they refuse to serve us without the booking when the place is not even full. Fortunately one of the worker decided to give us a table. Food was good cause we ordered from the Borneo food section. Went here again for a second time during the new year cause they say there will be a dj but there were no dj playing at all lol. Ordered flaming wings and wedges, was good. It was said on the poster that the place will close at 2am for new year. But we were told to leave cause they’re closing at 1am. When asked why 1am because on the poster it stated 2am. The worker just said because the boss is here and the boss say it’s closing time lol. We went out but there are a lot of other people still in the place drinking, playing pool and eating until 2am. Not sure if the guests are their geng or what. Were outside of the entrance for an hour waiting for grab to accept our booking (yeah that long). The security even ask us to wait outside of the gate cause cannot wait inside and apparently our grab is getting too long which we refuse cause it’s not safe at all for girls to just stand by the side of road at that hour. But yeah horrible...

Lovely first visit to this restaurant. The food here is excellent. Spaghetti carbonara is perfectly done with a fine balance of the sauce being not too thick or watery. Chicken burger was lovely where everything is made from scratch including the bread. The real fish & chips truly lives up to its name with barramundi fillets. Mushroom soup is a must try. And don't forget the bar bites - pokoras crispy fried ladies fingers and beer battered fried. Best value for money is that kids get to eat for free! With such good food quality and more items to try, it's worth another visit. There's cool indoor seating with music and sports channel which may be on the louder side for those intending to have conversations but the outdoor is serene and quieter. Only that one has to avoid smokers, otherwise, this place is great even for family occasions with...

Well what can i say about this place. The service here is absolutely atrocious. Trying to get their attention for the menu, to make an order etc is such a laborious affair. So unattentive. Then the food. They never even asked anyone for a last call. They just told us kitchen closed. A mark of a good restaurant is to have some decency in informing customers that their kitchen is closing. Nothing of that sort here. So apart from a KLfoodie review which i knew was too good to be true, this place is terrible. What was even worse is having a security guard asking customers to leave after the shop closes. Are you kidding me? Never has that happened. We know the bar is closed. Let us finish our drinks and we will go. No need for all this to be honest.
