Soufflé Dessert Cafe • Damansara Uptown — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

So glad that when we arrived the cafe was quiet with two tables taken only. But as soon as we started ordering, many people flocked in like flies lol this place is so popular and with good reasons too!

Parking here is atrocious though. FYKYK! But what they lack in parking they make up for their delicious dessert. :) if you really must, you can park at Starling and walk over.

We ordered a hot cappuccino and a chocolate soufflé with chocolate soft serve. The coffee was warm and good. So glad they make proper coffee here. We were actually quite filled from dinner and was worried if the chocolate soufflé would be too much but it wasn't at all! It was so fluffy and light! Perfect for an after dinner treat. Wish there was more dark chocolate sauce that goes with it though.

Take note it takes a long while for the soufflé to arrive. I guess they make to order. So if you can't wait, this place may not be favourable for you. There is free refillable filtered water on tap so you can help yourself to that.

Pleased that I'm able to come here after a loooooong time cos whenever I'm in the area, the long queue really is a deterrent for me. Good to mention that the ambience of this place is warm with good lighting for pic taking and attentive staff members.

Will come back (hopefully) next time to try their waffles.

service: I feel like service staff is insufficient? the fact that there’s a waiting line outside but cleaning up the table takes longer time because there’s only one staff taking care of queue & tables. There are some tables that requested to move which i found inconvenient. Most of the things are self service: ordering/ taking water etc. so I feel like 5% service charge was unnecessary.

waffles: ⭐️⭐️. With that price and waiting time, I expected a great waffle. But to be honest street waffles are better in terms of smell, taste & texture. The soft serve was tasteless. There was no hint or taste of vanilla or milk.

Combination Pancake: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It tastes great though it will really reached to you within 30-45mins. Texture & Taste is amazing!

Drinks: Reasonable price and not so sweet which i like. ❤️

Environment: Like others say because it’s too packed, tables too near to each other. ofcourse it’s too loud and not so nice for chit chatting. But it looks relaxing

Will I come back? For pancake and souflle maybe yes. for others...

Okay ngl the texture of the waffle and souffles we're good, but there's a gamey taste for the souffle from the eggs when you taste it alone. There was sliced banana on the side which was raw and the vanilla softserve literally tasted weird which tasted like dirt and irony or oxidized for me. I told their waiter for feedback but he was rushing around and looked so clueless on what's doing before he came to me. He told me that he would offer to change the banana and softserve for me, and I told him i would only like to replace the softserve. After a short while the manager came up and showed us a judging attitude and suspected us for mocking them for a free softserve. She said that we almost finished the softserve but i told her it melted rather than we finished it. Please improve on how you handle these kind of situation and clean your softserve machine properly and keep track on the raw ingredients that you're using.
