Wondermilk — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

I love Wondermilk and am amazed that it is still going strong after all these decades, feels like an old friend! RM5 per cupcake but very small, only 2 bites but it's ok. Cake itself is dense, especially the salted caramel was heavy. The lemon was the lightest on that day.

my Favourites are their butter cake and buttercream combo :

1. Royal Vanilla ( so pretty, yummy and classic) ,
2. John Lemon ( what a funny name 😂..has a dollop of tangy lemon curd inside the sweet cake).
3. Creme Brulee ( custardy top, butter cake)
4. Raspberry Velvet( tangy cheesy red cake)
5. Chocolate Chip ( butter cake + smidgen chocchip, pretty purply pink buttercream icing)
6. Cookies & Cream ( Oreo buttercream frosting on chocolate chip cake)
7. Rainbow Unicorn ( not sure where's the unicorn...is it the almond flake? 3 diff colored butter cake, buttercream icing )

On a whim, cut the rainbow into 2 and discovered it's hollow in the centre and there are sprinkles ! Are the rainbow ones all like this 😂

Not my favourites:

1. Salted Caramel ( the cake was heavy and so sweet, choked on it).
2. Strawberry was the most beautiful and Soo Soo cute, but overwhelmingly artificial strawberry 🍓 if you love strawberry milk, you may like.
3. Oh my choc. Not a good rich choc flavour, Choco ganache icing
4. Mermaid Sparkle ( simple choc cake buttercream blue purple silver balls icing)
5. Foxy Red Velvet ( salty thin cream cheese top over red velvet)
6. Gula Hangus - cupcake of the month- thick dollop cream drizzled with caramel atop steamed Gula Hangus cake. Nice and simple, but not wow must eat another one immediately)

There is 6% service tax for takeaway

Will be back to get the rest of the flavours, I think 8 more? and maybe a meal or two 🥰 16 pieces promo at RM75.90, 25...

Went there for dinner because of their baked potato. It was alright, nothing fancy, no frills. It tasted like how a baked potato topped with butter, cheese, mayonnaise, beef bacon and spring onions should taste like. Also had the hot dog, again, nothing fancy.

Would have given this place a 4 if it wasn’t for their lack of sound proofing areas, by which I mean their playroom for children. It was all good and well that they had a space for children to play in but the items they had there were loud like the xylophone and kids being kids will be kids by making a lot of noise. Wanted to have a nice quiet dinner turned to be a cringing experience everytime the xylophone was banged on.

If nothing fancy is what you’re going for, and you need a child friendly place to go to, this is a good place but be warned of the echoes of the restaurant. It can get very loud...

Several times went here with a friend. She wanted the cake (idk the name) which is super delicious according tp her but they always said the item is not available. Only today we went to the shop to get an answer that the cake we want is discontinued. Disappointed.

Yet we still ordered some beautifully decorated cupcakes. Just like any other customer we asked whether the cupcake icing of one of their cupcake is cream cheese or not. The shopkeeper said yes it is cream cheese. But I doubt and told my friend coz cream cheese is not supposed to be that white colour. So my friend reasked again, the guy said that it is vanilla cream. Phew. We asked about another cupcakes but the guy looked not sufficiently understood about the...
