I've encountered the worst experience with the staff over counter(or perhaps it's the owner I assumed) ever! I've called up during afternoon to make a reservation for 2 and the person over the phone told me I have to walk in as they do not accept two pax reservation. I reach there about 630pm, we were told by the owner that there's no table available (with a not so friendly tone) , we also asked him if we can wait and he mentioned that all the customers just started to eat, hinting us to leave. We tried to communicate with him and he just ignore us by arranging the other customers with reservation . Since we were not able to communicate to him after several attempts, we told him that we will leave a review and he released his temper on his incapability of managing his restaurant's reservation by spoke to us rudely -'why do you want to leave review , can't you see that there's many customers for me to handle, I don't even know who are those customers who made reservation and how to handle them)'. We then switch to other korean restaurant-San Nae Deul Empire Damansara which we received absolute awesome service from the team.We are not disappointed for not able to get a table from Seo Gung Korean BBQ restraurant ,but rather its the owner attitude which makes us really upset and we will never visit to the restaurant again ! It wasn't the first time visit (as I've not try their food yet) and it will be the last time! Dear owner, It's not only the food matters, the service is the key and only if I could leave a no star review for the service I've encountered prior to entering...
ย ย ย Read moreAs a Korean myself, the given side dishes (banchan) selection on that day was pretty good, specially the little sweet and salty, crunchy anchovies, steamed egg, cucumber salad, and healthily blanched spinach, oyster muchroom, crispy pancakes. Also i find it out the japchae(glass noodle) was surprisingly tasty unlike its initially looking was to me kinda unappealing , bcoz it has no veggies, just a bit of shredded carrots, or any other things mixed in but just the garlicky soy sources and sesame oil flavoured shiny noodles. That being said its super simple, but delicious as it is. As it's a bbq buffet setting, the price is quite affordable for mostly marinated pork meats and one marinated chicken meat. The cuts are not super trimmed or neaty, just randomly cut in pork shoulder and necks etc, which can't be asked for more or less fat each time refilled. You just get already prepared each distinctive sauce coated meats cut, rolled up in a stainless plate, that's looks very glossy, indeed it seems kinda appetizing and yummy even before touch down the bbq grill net. I think the best thing about the meats are overall just flavorful in each flavours as intended but not overwhelmingly salty or sweet luckily. The price would round up around rm 36 after the tax things. It's time limit for 90 mins if I remember. For those love to try Korean style bbq pork meats, this will be one of the place at an affordable price. Happy...
ย ย ย Read moreOnly RM 35+ (included service charge etc) for unlimited refill of meat (chicken and pork) and small side dishes ( anchioves, spinach, kimchi, vege, mash potato ....) and a small bowl of kimchi stew and steamed egg and fried pancake. This is abolutely the worth-est korean bbq ever. Okay, come to the taste part, the marinated chicken is nice, just the pork belly i suggest to sliced it to more thin so that it will not become too chewy. Kimchi stew is definitely the best and not only the plain spicy taste, it also mix up with some sour taste which abosolutely can trigger your appetize. Steamed egg is smooth and nice as well as the pancake. Side dishes is as normal. The most valuable thing why i rated this restaurant so high is their quality customer service. The waiter and the owner (i guess) are so friendly and nice! They will keep changing the BBQ pan from time to time eo ensure that you will never eat those black and burnt meat on the pan. The waiter will grill the meat for you and you will never need to worry and just keep eating non stop. Dont expect the atmosphere is same as the normal korean bbq shop as the decoration there is quite simple. It more look like the chinese kopitiam rather than a korean bbq restaurant. But i guess that is why the price is cheap, because they dont invest too much on the interior design. Worth to...
