A Delicious Family Breakfast at Chak’z 1964! My recent breakfast at Chak’z 1964 with my parents was a truly enjoyable experience. We wanted to start our day with some delicious and authentic Malaysian cuisine, and Chak’z 1964 definitely delivered. We decided to try a few of their signature dishes, and it was a fantastic way to sample the variety they offer. We ordered the Mee Goreng, Roti Titab, and Nasi Lemak Sambal Sotong, and each dish was a hit with all of us.
The Mee Goreng was a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The noodles were springy and well-coated in a flavorful sauce that wasn't too oily, which is something we appreciated. The generous toppings added a satisfying heartiness to the dish, making it a great way to kickstart the morning.
My parents particularly enjoyed the Roti Titab. The fluffy bread was perfectly complemented by the rich and fragrant kaya, and the soft-boiled eggs added a lovely creaminess. It was a simple yet incredibly satisfying dish, and a testament to how delicious traditional Malaysian breakfasts can be. It was a nostalgic treat for them, reminding them of breakfasts from their younger days.
For me, the star of the show was the Nasi Lemak Sambal Sotong. The coconut-infused rice was fragrant and perfectly cooked, and the sambal sotong was absolutely divine. The squid was tender and cooked to perfection, and the sambal had a wonderful depth of flavor – spicy, but not overly so, with a hint of sweetness that balanced the heat. It was easily one of the best Nasi Lemak Sambal Sotong I've ever had, and my parents agreed!
Beyond the food, the service at Chak’z 1964 was also excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and efficient, making sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed family breakfast.
Overall, our experience at Chak’z 1964 was fantastic. The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Malaysian breakfast, especially if you're looking for a place to enjoy a meal with family. We will definitely be back soon! Rating: 5...
Read moreHad this menu on 5th May 2022 (4th Syawal). Here goes my reviews:
Chicken Aglio Olio- very tasteless, served with 3 pcs of small chicken and half of the spag was black (squid ink spaghetti) i guess. Mind you not all kids eat the squid ink spaghetti. We had to send back the plate to the kitchen to add flavour into it. Very plain taste and dull looking menu. (Price: RM22, the value of a plate is like RM6).
Nasi Goreng Kg - served with 2 sticks of frozen satay. Plain rice cooked with egg and a piece of small chicken. You should taste Padi Hse Cyberjaya nasi goreng kg. They served it with prawns and anchovies. Chak'z u need to improve this serving. The nasi goreng on the street tastes even better. (Price : RM15.90, the value of a plate is like RM6)
Tomyam Seafood with rice- all ingredients inside were frozen. The soup tasted like a purely tomyum cube boiled with the hot water. No lemon grass,no galangal. Sorry..i prefer a cheap tomyum bowl from a humble thai restaurant. It was served in a claypot and cold 🙄(Price : RM15.90, not worth -value like RM6 bowl)
Chicken nachos- nice but it was served cold. U can taste the toppings were preheat and the meat gravy was just out from the fridge. 😏
Chak'z is well known for its corporate catering service good biryani and western food. I had it once at the office before, but coming to the restaurant and having all the above menu, it was so frustrating. We spent RM134 but the food was below our expectation. Will...
Read moreI had bihun soup for breakfast. It looked ordinary but it was delectable and wholesome. The broth was superb, and the texture of the potato cakes were just perfect. I was pleasantly surprised to find not one but TWO of a generous size of the potato cakes in the bowl! Given the price of RM13, it was definitely a steal. The black sauce served on a side was a nice touch to spice up the soup.
The hot Americano was shockingly good. Since I only buy coffee from established coffee shops, I expected it to be just decent. Boy, I was wrong. I sipped my coffee to its last drop. On my way out, I had to ask the barista what type of beans did they use. It was that good!
Get a table by the window because the view would be directly facing the lake. It was simply mesmerizing to look at the lake while enjoying your meal. I was there quite early, and there were only two other customers at that time. My only complaint is that the restaurant was quite warm. The restaurant had just opened minutes before I walked in. It was not a tiny restaurant. Might take a while for the AC to reach the preset temperature. Just my guess.
The staff was attentive and amicable. They checked on me from time to time. Special shoutout to Tanvir and Hisyam for making my breakfast memorable. This was my first time at Chak's. I went home feeling completely stuffed, satiated and satisfied. I'll be returning to...
