foods are delicious. but i dont think the foods are kids friendly. they’re a bit spicy. nice and friendly staff. nice ambience. clean.

i cant add a new post so just gana edit this one. came for the second time. ordered ala carte fried kueyteow, kueyteow ladna i think, chicken siew mai and crab meat soup. well both kueyteow ladna and fried kueyteow are tasteless, so we asked for salt. siew mai is big but taste so-so. and finally crab meat soup, its recommended in the menu, but i would not recommend this dish to anyone. they dont use crab meat at all, just imitiation crab meat but claimed as ‘crab meat’ in the menu. for the price of rm20 for the soup, so not recommended and not worth it.

I wanted a simple dinner and had Fishball Soup with Beehoon. Homst @Ayer8 is strategically located as it is on the same floor as the basement parking at Ayer8. The parking is free of charge. Homst has both indoor and outdoor seating. While indoor is air-conditioned, my son and I sat outside as the air was cool, right after a downpour in the evening. The outdoor seating is comfortable with a majestic view of the man-made lake and the Masjid Mizan in its background. The place is full of colourful lights emitting from the surrounding buildings. Tried several dishes here and was impressed with both the taste and presentation! The charcoal buttered salted egg yolk bun was rich, creamy, and had that perfect molten center — definitely a must-try if you love sweet-savory flavors.

The crab stick siew mai was juicy and nicely portioned — great as a light starter. For mains, we had the Thai-style steamed siakap — fresh, fragrant with garlic, lime, and chilli. It was well-balanced and comforting. The highlight for me was the salted egg yolk sotong — crispy, creamy, and full of umami!

Portion sizes were generous, staff were friendly, and the dining environment was clean and family-friendly. Definitely one of the best Chinese Muslim food options around Putrajaya. Will return...
