Suang Tain Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Borneo

I came by with a group of friends to have dinner and This place was highly recommended. The captain who took my order was lovely and polite. Food portion was big, seafood was fresh and price was reasonable.

What ticked me off was the big chunk of tissue paper(i do not want to imagine what was in this tissue paper) that was in my plate of geoduck and i bit into it, swallowing whatever juices this tissue was holding previously before it was cooked along with the geoduck dish.🤢🤢🤢

i called the captain, she was apolegetic and she replaced the dish for me. However, i was disgusted about it and became even more disgusted as i continue eating. When i paid the bill, i told the boss/owner of the restaurant. Honestly, i just wanted to feel better, i needed comfort, they could have offer me a free coke/coconut or something to help me feel better about this.

You want to know now why the 1 star rating. I told them about what happened to me, and both the lady boss and boss told me that the captain has went home and did not inform them of anything so nothing they can do. They did not even say sorry. They just left me at the counter as they went off to do their work.

All i wanted was to feel better in this traumatic experience, but what did they do? They made it even worse. Theladyboss and boss were rude, unapologetic, ignorant. I am never coming back and never recommending to my friends.

Maybe my one review will not do much, but i believe im not the only customer who had been treated this way and sorry ,but you have one less...

This is an overrated restaurant. I have never tried such a bad seafood restaurant in my life. The fish was oversteamed until the meat broken apart before it was even served to our table, so we told their staff and this was her respond 'our fish is freshly made from alive in the aquarium'. She said it twice as if we have not tried the same kind of fish that was 'freshly made' at other restaurants. Even how fresh the fish was, good cook will never steam the fish until the meat break apart. We have confirmed it with tasting, indeed it was overcooked and the meat was soooo soft. The taste also very disappointing.

About the clams you see over here, it was overcooked also. Can you see how much it shrunk? Almost each of it contained small stones inside. Luckily it doesn't hurt my teeth because I was tooo careful. The staff attitude and behaviour also a huge disappointment. They treat us like we are stupid. If your customer is giving you an honest opinion about the food, please kindly accept it and quickly solve the issue instead of denying and explaining yourself while belittling our intelligence.

Furthermore, we need to queued up sooo long in order to pay the bill. Why can't you have waitress or waiter to collect the payment from our table?

Conclusion : Overall taste was pretty bad, staff attitude also bad, the environment also not pleasant and it is quite expensive too. First and my last time....

Terrible place. Terrible food. Terrible and rude service. If you're a tourist looking for a nice place to eat, don't bother coming here. I was so mad at my whole experience here that I end up with a stomachache.

Bad service - The ONLY thing that the 1 star stands for is the male cashier that has helped me to get my order right for the THIRD time. Now, that should give you an indication of how POOR the service is. Also, the elder woman who took my order actually LIE to my face and told me that I was the one who gave her the wrong order. By the way, I repeatedly confirm with her my order so truly, her excuse was deplorable to my ears.

Terrible food experience - The food that we tasted were either too salty, overcooked or had a lower than average taste. The whole food experience did not match the high price tag attached to it. If it was good but expensive, I wouldn't have mind. I could only say that the food was edible. Truly, it was such a disappointment, especially when the local recommended it.

I came here excited for a good eating time with my family but end up frustrated, annoyed and speechless. Putting aside the fact that I never give any bad reviews till now, please think twice before...
