The only "top" about this food court is the fact that it is located on the TOP floor of the Kuching UTC building. You could take the elevator to the 5th floor, and then take another flight of stairs to the 6th floor, where this food court is situated.

We came here for dinner on our first night in Kuching. Our grand entourage was made up of 18 pax, including one 7 month old baby and 4 toddlers. Since this food court had been highly promoted and recommended, we obviously didnt want to miss this experience. But, what a frustrating experience it turned out to be...

First of all, our grand entourage had to be separated to 3 different tables, which was entirely understandable. But we were not informed that the food court was made up of different operators, and we didnt know which tables would refer to which stalls. Being our first visit here, we found the arrangement quite confusing. And finding a vacant table on a saturday night was also a huge challenge. Hence, we ended up seating quite a distance from each other.

When it came to placing the orders, it became a bigger chaos. Our tables were swarmed by various waiters asking for our orders, but we had no inkling whether they came from the same stall, or from different ones. My brother was starting to look worried, as he was the one to pick up the bills later. As it turned out, everyone placed his/her own order, regardless of who the waiter was, hoping to get the food delivered fast.

Now, after they had put in all the orders, the wait for the food was another matter alltogether. I could say that we had to wait for more than an hour before the foods were finally delivered to our tables...this was a total chaos!!! Some of the small children had already fallen asleep on their mother's lap, as they were already tired, hungry and sleepy.

I guess this time we had learnt our lesson well. This place is not suitable for a large group consisting of various ages, as it became quite difficult to manage. So, this is also a friendly reminder to all seafood lovers who are planning to visit this food court for the first time.

And I dont even have time to comment on...

At Jalan Pudungan and right on the rooftop of UTC Building is where this Topspot Foodcourt is located. We stayed at the Imperial Riverbank hotel which is minutes walk to this destination. Mind you, if you have knee problem I advise you to look for the entrance with a service lift to take you up to the food court. It is indeed a steep stairs climb up, not easy & not advisable for elderly people.... so keep that in mind.

Once you are at the top of this foodcourt, walah !! you will see many stalls lighted up with colourful neon lights bearing their stall’s name. Fresh seafoods on display and live stock in water tank for the picking. Mainly seafoods stall, halal as well. Then they have satay stalls too. According to the review we read, #25 is a safe choice to pick for a satisfying seafood dinner experience. We were pleasantly served by friendly staff and the seafood we had were as expected, we really had a great time and value for money. Prices here are reasonable except for drinks, I ordered the “am bela” fruit drinks that cost RM5.00 a glass which I felt expensive as it is a local fruit drink. Anyway, moving on to the taste of the seafood and the freshness, they were really delicious to taste & fresh especially the steamed fish in spicy lime sauce, was truly awesome ( please see photo ). The Kuching Öh Chian” is very much different from the Penang ones, it is like eating crispy biscuit with oyster in it for the picking and they are really indeed tasty.

The seating were mostly in the open air style with some partial shelter, pretty dimly lighted which I find not to my liking. Crowded at night at time just like “pasar” atmosphere, noisy and full of people having a good time, chatting and eating at the same time. Overall, it is a place full of energy with busy activity, which is a good thing. Do go there....

It is a highly recommended place to come for fresh seafood, forget the long drive to the sea side in Kampung Buntal seafood restaurant. We tried the Lim Hock Ann Seafood restaurant ( please read my review of the restaurant ) and were...

Kuching's Topspot Food Court is a seafood lover's paradise that lives up to its reputation as a must-visit culinary destination. Nestled on a rooftop in the heart of Kuching, this bustling food court offers an impressive array of fresh seafood dishes that tantalize the taste buds.

Our visit was marked by an unforgettable feast, starting with the small fried fish, which was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The highlight, however, was the oyster fry, uniquely shaped into UFP (UFO) forms, offering a delightful mix of textures and flavors that was both innovative and delicious. The shrimp, cooked to perfection, was succulent and juicy, further elevating our dining experience.

Each stall at Topspot offers a unique selection of seafood dishes, prepared with the freshest ingredients. The variety is extensive, ensuring that every visit can be a new culinary adventure. The bustling atmosphere, combined with the mouth-watering aroma of grilled and fried seafood, creates an inviting and vibrant dining environment.

Service at Topspot is efficient and friendly, with vendors eager to recommend their specialties and ensure that guests have an enjoyable experience. The prices are reasonable, making it accessible for both locals and tourists to indulge in a seafood feast.

Overall, Topspot Food Court is a gem in Kuching's food scene. Whether you're a seafood aficionado or just looking to enjoy a delicious meal, it offers an exceptional dining experience that shouldn't be missed. From the variety and quality of the dishes to the lively atmosphere, Topspot truly earns its place as a top spot for...
