Been here for lunch, the name speaks for itself, it's a seafood restaurant. Stepping in you will be greeted by live shrimps and fishes in salt water aquariums. Kids will definitely be excited to see them. We ordered The Reef's Dry curry chicken Rice, comes with 2 drumsticks and a bowl of fragrant rice. Now, where can you find 2 curry drumstick served at rm12? I like the taste it's just plain curry, no coconut milk or other fancy stuff. Guess it reminds me of my neighbour's curry. Next we have pineapple fried rice, there are squids, crabsticks, long beans, carrots in the fried rice. And, not forgetting 2 huge shrimps on the side. The shrimps is very fresh. The last dish I ordered is Cantonese fried kueh tiaw. It is served in a huge bowl.. ala fine dining style. Usually it's served on a plate else where. As for drinks, I wanted hot lemon but it's not in the menu, the tauke nio is so kind to customize it for us. If you do not wish to order drink, it's ok too coz they serve plain water. Kids who come here gets their own cartoon characters plates, fork & spoon and cup. So parents don't have to worry that the little ones will break the ceramic or glassware.
I'm back again, this time for dinner. I tried the illy cappuccino, it's very good. I like the coffee cup it comes with. As for the dishes, we have green dragon vege, umai midin, spinach mushroom tofu and sliced threadfin with soya sauce. Portion is not big, just nice. I like to specially mention that this place is very kid friendly. There's even a kid size toilet bowl and a...
Read moreMy recent visit to The Reef was an absolutely delightful experience. Perfectly situated in the city center, it's a fantastic spot for both a relaxing meal and a memorable dining adventure.
While the location is incredibly strategic, a word to the wise: parking can be a challenge during peak hours due to limited space. Planning ahead is recommended, but I can assure you the food is well worth the minor hassle.
Stepping inside, you're greeted by a chill and relaxing ambiance—the perfect escape from the city bustle. The place is impeccably maintained; I’d give the cleanliness a solid 5/5 without hesitation.
Now, for the star of the show: the food. It was nothing short of exceptional. We ordered the Dry Chili Squid, the incredibly flavorful Seafood Fried Rice, the rich and aromatic Butter Prawn, and a deeply comforting Sea Cucumber Soup. Each dish was masterfully prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
The prices are very reasonable and truly match the quality and portion sizes delivered. Overall, The Reef offers superb value and an excellent dining experience. I will undoubtedly be returning soon to explore more of their menu. Highly...

After ordered drinks & foods (12.20pm), almost half an hour (12.50pm), the food served & we start eating. Unexpectedly, around 1.20pm, the waiter start to collect all the empty dishes, by that time we are still eating, we are feel so annoying & uncomfortable. By 1.30pm the waiter inform us another customers have come and want use that table. I was shocked. My family and I had to eat quickly because the next customer was already waiting to use the table. I really felt unsatisfied with the service because I have paid more but was treated that way. My expectation is when eating there to relax and enjoy the foods but was disappointed. Not recommended.
