i ordered cornbeef fried rice and cheezy fried chicken chop.
the cornbeef fried rice has good taste, good flavor. however lacking in the wok-hei department. the rice was soft and fluffy, not clumpy. you can see each grain of rice separately and has good bite to it. the rice was seasoned well and has that savory sensation. the cornbeef give that salty flare blend well with the rice creating a harmony symphony of flavor in your mouth. the cornbeef has that beefy flare provides nice meaty sensation beefylicious to the whole dish.
the cheezy fried chicken chop was subpar. they use boneless thigh which is good. the chicken itself was cooked perfectly. it was soft, tender, moist and juicy and crispy and crunchy on the outside. has nice thin breading outside the chicken which gives satisfying texture when you bite into it. the chicken has nice chickeny essence and the juice from the chicken flowing inside your mouth like a waterfall. however the cheese they use on top of the chicken was lackluster and subpar. it has that fake artificial nacho cheese flavor to it and extremely salty. it was saltier than the pacific ocean and the red sea. even the fish cant swim and drink, it was too salty. it's like im eating a gallon of world saltiest salt with a side of a jug of water from red sea. it was saltier than kareem when lebron pass him in all time leading points. the sharpness and saltiness of the cheddary essence from the cheese destroy the balance of savory flavor of the whole dish. the fries was mid, has no flavor whatsoever. it was more bland than hospital crackers. even mineral water has more flavor than the fries. the fries has good texture tho, crispy and crunchy yet soft and pillowy on the inside. the fries was stiff, stiff as tree which is good. but still zero flavor.
i ordered nacho as well. the worst nacho in the history of mankind. the nacho comes together with the below average tartar sauce. the weirdest combination ever and yes, it doesnt work. for a reference, that's like eating nasi lemak with nutella sauce instead of sambal. i thought the nacho was supposed to come with queso or some type of cheese sauce. the chip they serve was a random no brand packaged stale chips or doritos from a grocery store. the chips was more stale than crackers i left outside for one week. the tartar sauce was subpar. even a store-bought ranch taste better than that tartar sauce.
overall is mid and the price was quite expensive. but the service was good, everyone...
Read moreGood ambience. Had one ' inul' iced coffee which I can only assume as a 3 layered coffee (if you are into sweet coffee then this would be your choice).
You can order online by scanning the QR code provided on the table. Options to pay 1st or after meal is provided. The waiter is helpful and accommodative.
The menu options are more or less what you can expect from a normal mamak restaurant and hence I would categorize the place as a hipster mamak/coffee fusion cafe. Pricing is affordable
For now would recommend others to give it a go. Please bear in mind that I only had one glass of affordable (MYR 5) sweetened iced coffee for me to give a proper rating of this...
