This stall had a lot of people when compared to others in the food court. So, we gave it a try. Maybe i had very high expectations of this place from the great ratings and the number of people that were eating here, but the food was underwhelming for me. We ordered quite a variety of items. Only the steamed clams and salted egg crab was good. Everything else, like the veggies, stringray masak asam, oyster egg, and fried calamari/squid, were just meh. Nothing really stood out. They lacked seasoning and flavor. The fried squid batter was oily and not crispy. It was ok when dipped in the salted egg sauce that came with the crab. On its own, the fried squid was not very good. The oyster egg is really just crispy flour with no taste. I would pass on that if i were to eat here again. The ambiance is ok for a food court. This restaurant is pretty much packed with customers. Service is super fast and you get your food within ten minutes of finalizing your order. The food came out in batches and we had all seven dishes and rice in under twenty minutes even though the stall was packed with customers. All food came out hot and fresh. Great service. Just need to work a bit...
Read moreAn old fashion food court setup. Large food court located at the 6th floor of the UTC building. Not the cleanest or best eating environment.
Go try store 25 called Bukit Mata seafood. The food is tasty but not the cheapest.
The chinese tea is Rm2 per cup.
The Kum Heong cooked style crab is not the same as that served in Peninsula Malaysia. This one is more spicy with fried egg based.
Even though we ordered AA size crab but they served us the smaller ones to us. The AA size is the most expensive ones. Luckily the small ones were meaty.
The steamed parrot fish was fresh and tasty even though slightly too soft for my liking.
The clam soup was surprising tasty and the clams were also fresh.
The sarawak fern vege called midis was nicely done. Try it if you have not eaten this before.
Good place to dine if you are looking for good food but a simple...
Read moreOur to go stall in Top Spot. Stall 25 Bukit Mata. Probably the cheapest porkfree seafood in Malaysia. Don’t be afraid to ask for the price, better still go and choose the seafood at the counter. Try their simple ikan gonjeng goreng, oyster pancake, sea cucumber soup and sotong garam. For butter prawn with floss you have to explicitly tell them with floss as they have to order it from different kitchen. Otherwise it’ll be plain looking butter prawn which is a let down. Additionally you may indulge yourself with pricier menu of river prawn baked with cheese or steamed/salted egg mud crab. Ahh come early, like 05:30 pm early for dinner on weekend otherwise it’ll be too many people and it will spoil you experience and the...
