Stayed in room 309 for three days & two nights for business purposes & vacation with family members.
PROS: •Has functioning local & international sockets in the room for various electrical items & charging usage. •Functional room phone to call room service & from room to room •Lights are all functional & fully bright throughout the room •A functioning television to watch local channels •Good Wi-Fi is available if you don't want to watch the television •Has a ready to use bible in the room for the Christians •An easy to use build in hairdryer in the drawer with an easy to touch button •A digital touch screen instead of a paper to hang at the door to show the notification of "Do Not Disturb" or "Clean" •Plenty of drawers to keep items & belongings. •Room temperature is able to be adjusted through the usage of the thermostat, but it takes some time to adjust. •Adjustable water temperature in the bathroom & sink •Availability of an iron & ironing board in the closet •Many mirrors available around the room •Functional electric kettle & mini fridge •Safety features of the fire escape plan on the door, together with a well function smoke detector. •Comfortable bed, pillows & thick blankets. •Good view of the scenery outside the hotel, depending on the room structure & available windows. •Has a clear indicator on where to pray on the ceiling for Muslims. •Good room service & understanding assistance at the lobby. •Hotel is seriously close to the malls, stores, & tourist attractions such as the famous cat statue & Waterfront. (Especially there's a cafe that opens in the night & a 7-11 next to the hotel.) •Has a functioning bidet on the side of the toilet (Just be careful to not spray yourselves accidentally with it.) •Wonderful adjustable water pressure in the shower & sink. •Clean lobby & kind staff members •Provided necessary amenities such as soap, shower gel, shampoo, headcover, sanitary bags, & cotton tips.
CONS: •Needed something interesting to hang on the walls of the hotel room. As it's quite empty & soulless with the slightly peeled off wallpaper on the wall. •Too much unnecessary space around the room. •Stains on the side of the bathroom glass, closet, drawers, room wallpaper, mirror, & windows outside. •The pillow, blanket & inner curtain had holes on them •Dust under the glass layer of the desks •Parking spaces are reserved for VIPs, so it's better to use Grab. Unless you're able to find a parking space that's closer to the hotel •The lift system is outdated & the numbers on the buttons are mostly faded away. •Confusing room signages to show the way. •You have to put a towel down as there's no shower mat provided. Also, please remember to bring your toothbrush, lotion, toothpaste, laundry bag, comb, prayer mat, indoor slippers, etc. as its not a part of the provided amenities in the hotel room. •Limited television channels on the television. •Room service starts earlier at 9 am to 3 pm & wouldn't return back to check on the rooms for the second time on that day. You'll have to wait for the next day for room service if you miss today's cleaning. •The lobby is located on the side instead of the centre. It's confusing, but you'll get used to it once you know. •There's no braille on the elevator (lift) buttons.
it's recommended if you wanted to be closest to the view of the Waterfront & cat statues & wouldn't mind the stains, holes & lack of decorations in the room. it's still a very comfortable stay with the limited amenities provided by the hotel. I never tried the food in the hotel, so I have no idea on it.
i would still return to this hotel once I come back to Kuching again, just have to remember to bring my toothbrush &...

Plus sides: rooms are cheap. Below rm200/day sheets are clean and white location is perfect . Middle of city centre. Walking distance to 7e , riverbank, kfc, watsons, pharmacy, mcd, and a 24/7 mamak restaurant housekeeping is fine but they dont ever give u extra water bottles even if u asked nicely. They said will charge they late u checkout late at 1pm to without charges. Charges of rm20/hr starts at 1pm onwards free umbrella to borrow in case rain aplenty of socket switches in the room laptop can be screened to the room tv with hdmi (bring your own) cant really hear outside traffic loudly even at night and the neighbours beside but i can hear the sounds from occupants at my connecting room.
Down sides: pillows and bed not comfy. old carpet is old . Sometimes u step on sticky parts no indoor room slippers provided no pool no gym no laundry services provided. No laundry bag also! They provide black garbage bags in case u need a plastic bag. No charges breakfast spread is pathetic for a hotel rated at 3stars. There is coffee tea 1 type of juice half boiled eggs, 1 cooked dish, fruits(everyday watermelon+papaya),toast (white bread and small pastries like small muffin and little croissant). Eggs not the freshest. White breads served are quite hard/dried. Cooked dishes: either fried rice/ fried noodles everyday. no hand held bidet shower only has rain shower no hand held shower some nights even after switching of all switches, the shower room exhaust fan gets really loud even after door is shut not the friendliest stuff esp the one at counter. Always give me that blank face when i ask something there were green moulds seen on the window in my room. The window looks like it was never cleaned anyway AND THERES ANTS in the room. On table near tv and at the little pantry corner fridge cabinet had stains looks like it was never cleaned in years switch and socket points in room has alot dust all squeezed into it wall papers on wall were pealing
This hotel definitely needs some deep cleaning. A renovation. An uplift, the interior is too old! The carpets need to be deep cleaned or deep shampooed. And pest...

The Good :
Location is really strategic for walk around the riverbank esplanade with many activities and happening during the evening time. Food stalls are ample to choose and the highlight of the evening is the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly building ( Dewan Undagan Negeri ) water fountain show with awesome music background to make the neon lighted water fountain comes to life. A must not miss sight.
Room, we stayed in Room 303, street view good size nice bed but hard pillows ( for me ). Room is equipped with hair dryer, ironing board to iron our own clothes, sewing kits, mini fridge, bed room slippers … amenities that will give a comfortable stay. Hot and powerful running water shower to refresh ourselves. Wifi works well. Thumb Up ! Breakfast... food choices are sufficient enough to have a good healthy breakfast before you head out for sight seeing. Friendly & helpful service staff. Pleasant atmosphere to eat in. But background music were of the 70's... Carpenters, Barry Manilow...were the 2 singers that entertained us on our breakfast.
The Bad :
Car parking is a spoiler if you have a car or rent a car…. After a happy outing and heading back to hotel is just a mood spoiler. Worrying where to park and if park some where else our worries of car being stolen ( rented car).
Like the hotel but don’t like limited car...
