Recently, I had the opportunity to dine at Caffeinees, and unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations. Here’s a breakdown of what we ordered:
Wild Mushroom Soup The wild mushroom soup was decent but lacked the richness and depth that one would hope for. The mushrooms were merely satisfactory, failing to leave a lasting impression.
Mala Fried Chicken The mala fried chicken was a letdown. It was overly oily and lacked the bold flavors typically associated with mala dishes. We were expecting a spicy, aromatic experience, but it ended up being rather tasteless.
Spaghetti Bolognese The spaghetti Bolognese was another disappointment. The sauce was overly reliant on tomato puree, which overwhelmed the dish and masked any nuanced flavors. It felt one-dimensional and lacked the heartiness that a good Bolognese should deliver.
Beverages We also ordered peach tea and a whisky sour cocktail, but both fell flat. The peach tea didn’t have the refreshing quality we anticipated, and the whisky sour was underwhelming, lacking the balance of sweetness and acidity.
Overall Impression Overall, our experience at Caffeinees was disappointing. The food lacked flavor and depth, and the beverages did not meet our expectations. It seems there’s a need for improvement in their kitchen. With a bit more attention to detail and flavor, Caffeinees could become a much more enjoyable dining spot. We shared our honest review to the waiter, to our surprise, he offered us a complimentary piece of cake, that showed nice...
Read moreThis was long waited review. Happened in last Christmas.
The worst food and experience I had for year. It was Christmas day and we went for lunch. They said no reservation but when we walk in many tables are reserved with no customers yet. Requested those tables but denied as reserved but when we left after an hour saw some tables still no customer. Then came the food ordering. Waiter mentioned might take 20-30 min for main dish to be served. Since we were hungry we ordered a salad and some deserts as recommended by him. We only order the common menu, nothing special. After some time, we asked for the salad and dessert, waiter said 'on the way', but to our surprise the main dish are served (not sure if it was mistakenly gave to us), with the salad too. The hot chocolate was watery and no taste. Since we had the main dish ask them to serve the dessert later. The food was pathetic. Even my kids says the chicken chop in Oldtown White Coffee better. The salad had nothing special. The worst we have not get the dessert yet but asked to pay the bill as dessert is 'on the way', which made us mad and we cancel it. We have been many fine dining and fusion food restaurants in between. which servers better food with polite services. The owners can try Alicea in Cyberjaya, Tasty Chapathi in PJ and etc. They serve tastier food with similar...
Read moreFood overall is ok. Ordered signature Carribean Pizza, it tastes abit like normal Hawaiian pizza though. Beef burger patty a little dry, if more juicier the better. Salmon fettuccine tastes a little bland but the portion of the salmon is good. The salmon salad sauce is normal sesame sauce still acceptable, but if its house dressing it would be much better with this price range. Service wise is the thing who dissatisfied and disappointed one, staff didnt wish greetings and not welcoming, just ask you “come here come here” to lead you to your seats. When serving food or cleaning up table also didn’t say please excuse or even care to ask you before clearing up for you. When check is paid also didn’t greet thank you as i think its a simple and standard service in FNB? I think it’s time for the owner to train up with your crews how to serve your customers in a proper way if they hope to continue thrive in the business. Only the manager I guess, is the only one who in good manner and service in the entire restaurant. Environment is good, it should be match with your up-to-standard service and I believe people will be more satisfied and enjoyed to dine in with...
