OLDTOWN White Coffee Leisure Mall — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

I used to be a regular customer at this OldTown branch, and the previous manager and staff were great. However, the service has gone downhill this year, especially with one particular Malay female staff member who is consistently rude. On three occasions, the app showed items as available, but they weren’t. Instead, they replaced them with cheaper items without adjusting the price. When asked to revise the price, the same staff member argued, blaming the app/system and claiming it couldn’t be canceled, insisting it wasn’t their fault. If the food isn’t available, why is it still on the menu? Also, the nasi lemak menu shows a hard-boiled egg, but they served it with a fried egg, which caused me to unnecessarily order an extra fried egg. The food was average, and the preparation and delivery were very slow, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. It seemed like there was a lack of staff. The worst part was that Oldtown changed their double chocolate recipe, and the NEW VERSION is disappointing—it tastes like they cut back on coco. 🤢 Fortunately, the manager prepared a double chocolate drink with the old recipe upon my request. Service was excellent, especially CIK SITI who was friendly, courteous, helpful and patient with our queries. She was soft-spoken and smiling throughout our visit. Ambience was cosy and comfortable. Tables and chairs were clean and neat. Merchandise were neatly displayed with clear price tags. Food-wise, the taste was okay, but the management could do a bit of tweaking to the sets, serving size and be more wallet-friendly.

Overall, I would definitely come again for the coffee and toast, and also to say hi to the friendly and courteous...
