We ordered Signature Prawn RM 99, Pig's Knuckle Pot RM 29, Grilled Fish RM 89, Tender Chicken RM 19, Dumplings RM18, Steamed Braised Pork with Preserved Vegetable RM32 and Skewered Mutton RM 32. Together with rice and drinks the amount totaled to over RM 400.
Service charge 10% which is absurd because they didn't prepare the table that I have booked earlier. The server dropped the drink that we ordered and didn't replace with a new one. They even charged us RM 0.90 cents for tissue. I think for a restaurant which already charges exorbitant price for all its dishes, a bag of tissue should be complimentary on the house. For a 10% service charge, honestly I expect a round the clock good service and attentive to our need.
Food wise, to be honest, maybe we are not accustomed to China delicacies so it is either too salty or mala to the tongue. Except the braised pork which is heavenly in my opinion, I can't say the same for the rest of their signature dishes. The Prawn is charged at RM 10 per piece and I mean come on, look at the picture I posted, so small and too salty. By the time you did away with the shell, the meat inside is smaller than the grass prawn that you can buy at morning market.
Was also disappointed with the Beijing Cabbage with Pork Bacon. Salty too. Oh, the onions chopped for the Skewered Mutton is really nice and goes well with rice, but the mutton are tiny and it is RM4 per piece. I rather have the onions without the mutton. Portions for all dishes ordered except the Mala Fish is small. I thought I will be walking out stomach full for that price but I am not.
Will not be coming back for a second...
Read moreIf you are craving for Chinese food, and maybe some kick to your tastebud, something spicy in the cold weather, this would be the place. My family members could tolerate spicy food, so we are comfortable to dine there. The dishes that we love and would order every single time is stirred-fried cabbage with meat slice. The cabbage is crispy, and doesn't has the weird raw 'vegetable' taste. Dishes there are unique and kinda opens up a new range of...

Walking in, it reslly reminded me of my time in Guangzhou / Shenzhen.
It was not just the simplistic deco but somehow the "aroma" also played a part.
