Giraffe Café & Restaurant @ Sunway Geo Avenue — Restaurant in Subang Jaya

Easily a solid 4.5 Star for the butter croissant cheese and ham sandwich (sorry, forgot it's name, but don't think you can go any wrong with their sandwich selection). Croissants smells good, flaky outside soft inside and buttery (I would prefer if the butter can just push further). The Ham and Cheese is what it is. There's a pineapple sauce that come along, to me it looks like Kaya (Coconut jam) at first sight and it actually tastes like a sweeter sweet onion. Salads are fresh and the dressing is wonderful, is kind of a special mix from them, i was hungry and ate too fast to recall the details but theres definitely Vinegar and sweetness in it but well balanced, and I'll be back again for it.

The flat white. I bet any slight strong milk/white coffee lover like me will absolutely fall in love with it, they really nail the flat white as the coffee is strong and the milk is just creamy enough to supports it. The thing about flat white in most places is that they sometimes make it into a latte and for me that's just not what I want.

HOWEVER, I've actually ordered their Flat white take away twice with my own coffee cup, and the flat white end up tasted waaaaay blend that you have in their restaurant, so it might be their cup that brings out the aroma, since their coffee is served with a cut ceramic kind of cup. Or the barista might add too much liquid (in any way) for my take away order just so the coffee "feels and served" way more to make me feel its value the price. If that's ever the case, please don't do that, your coffee is good in its way and I don't mind paying for it...

26.03.2025 Wednesday I came by for an early lunch after my doctor's appointment. I took the chance of being in bulan puasa and the crowd will be less. I had the chicken parmigiana which the portion was generous for a small eater like me 😄. While I appreciate the big portion, the lack of flavor disappoints me. The chicken & fries was over fried. Tomato sauce & cheese on it lack of flavors. The chicken meat was dry. The fries should be slightly crispy on the outside while still soft inside, that would have been perfect. It wasn't all bad but not good. I will give a 4/10. The Spanish cinnamon latte was quite nice though. I think mainly because the cinnamon powder, the smell and the taste makes the latte nice to drink. The Spanish latte was supposed to have 2 shots of espresso but for me it didn't taste strong. Nice, bright and clean restaurant to dine in. I enjoyed the dining in of not needing to eat fast and leave. I gave feedback to the waiter about the dish, hopefully they will improve. RM38 for the chicken parmigiana and RM16 for the Spanish cinnamon latte. With service charge 10%, everything was RM59.40. I was intrigued to get their cake but didn't because of the food. Nice place good to see some competition to the already existing coffee shops in Sunway Geo Avenue. I have been here twice for a delicious coffee, service with a smile . The apple pie is delicious, very European style ( would suggest to give the customer option to serve it with either whip cream or ice cream) and excellent coffee. The place sadly enough has a bad acoustic so the moment you have several tables occupied the place gets very noisy. The atmosphere with its dark wooden interior is very cozy. To bad that they close early as it would be a good option for dinner as well . UPDATE: They have recently changed their menu to which I would like to make some suggestion :

1. If you offer steak make sure you can offer the variation of cooking it at least from Medium rare and up, as a lot of people like to have that taste of the more tender steak at medium rare, to the contrary the way it’s cooked now it comes across very dry even though it had a bit of fat on it.
2. I believe be good if you have some dishes as add on , like egg or extra piece of chicken etc , not only nice for the customer but even the restaurant makes some...
