Guang Tai Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Subang Jaya

I ordered mala soup with meatball - first of all the portion is SMALL (coming from a small eater), the meatball is tasteless and absolutely disgusting, soup is okay but can be more flavourful. There seems be a slimy gooey thing inside as well, not sure if it’s from the meatball? Whatever it is, I am so disgusted by it.

Added on RM2+ for an ice lemon tea which I requested less sugar. The ice lemon tea doesn’t even taste like ice lemon tea and it is super sweet. I only had 3 sips and can’t bring myself to take another sip. Such a waste of money.

I wanted to give them a chance since they are newly opened, so I decided to speak to the manager. I started with “I think your food can be improved” and she immediately replied with “yes we will improve” without even asking me for more details such as what did I order and what is the issue. Still, I proceeded to tell her my thoughts which she seemed like she did not really want to listen and just mindlessly replied okok.

If they had taken my feedback earnestly I wouldn’t have left...

Music is so loud until I request to lower down volume, and the waiter's look like I'm requiring too much when I'm trying to eat my dinner. Then only I see this is a bar as well, maybe loud music only during happy hours ba.. I ordered meehoon soup with chicken meat, fishball & prawns, disappointed since the soup tastes plain, thankful for the really good chicken rice chilly sauce though. My son ordered ginger chicken rice but cannot see any ginger nor taste ginger. We also ordered green veg like soaking in garlic oil and sweet soya sauce. Place is bright and clean. However beer is not fresh, even though we have complained and they said they will give a glass from a newly open barrel, yet both Heineken is sour taste.

Complimentary cocktail tester which taste alright. Decided to order 1 glass, however when the 1 paid glass came, taste more like fruit punch without alcohol.

Ordered piggy Fries but is really not nice at all.

The waitress brought over the Fries and 2 forks only, whereby there were 3 of us and no serviettes were provided. We had to ask and she came back with the fork couple of minutes later.
