24/6/25 7.20am Nasi Lemak Ayam Merah Pedas RM8 Huge plate, rice is rich and coconutty, with ginger, plate piece of ayam, tasty sambal, fresh cucumber and half egg, ikan bilis + peanut. Very nice Kakak. 5🌟
Chicken and Char Siu Rice RM8 so cheap. Rice was fragrant, small scoop.
Chee Cheong Fun RM9.20 3 fun+3 liu..
The Chinese tea here is thick Pu-Er, nice RM1, I think.
11/4/25 Most stalls sold out by 1.30pm Char okay teow RM9. Lots of chilli but lack of umami...not salty at all. Good if you're watching your high blood pressure counts Curry Mee RM9, quite nice with fried wantan, pork skin, taufu pok, green bean and tauge
5/3/25 This time spring rolls were not refried before serving so they arrived soggy and cold 😞 thankfully the nasi lemak stall next to this stall served a good nasi lemak, enjoyed it. The chicken was rather spicy.
16/2/25 Fried radish cake RM9? S. Delicious though takes a while, but worth the wait. Now my favourite in Subang. Spring roll is RM2 each and will be refried before serving. So arrives piping hot and crispy. Everything sells out super fast before 12.
Beef wantan Mee RM13.50 Very small portion of noodles, less than 5 mouthfuls but gravy was tasty. Nice pieces of soft beef, 2 slices springy tendon and some green veg.
Char kuay teow RM8 3 prawns before CNY, tq ! It's just ok
Hot barley RM2.50 Ice lot hon kor takeaway RM2.80
March 2024 Fried tung fun RM8 A large plate of noodles arrived piping hot, very fast. dryish, still had bite, covered 80% with lots of egg and garlic. Not the best.
Guandong Prawn Chee cheong fun RM7.50 Essentially HK chee cheong fun. Again, served a large plate. And again, a healthier version for those watching blood pressure counts and aiming for something healthier. Surprised this had small bits of green lettuce. There were 4 small shrimp inside the soft flat noodles and the sauce was very light. Tasted to me like what a mother would make for her kids at home.
Iced kopi O RM2.90 was good Iced Chinese tea RM0.70
Wanting to try the curry Mee and...
Read moreFood are on the pricier side despite this kopitiam being located in Goodyear Court 2 area. Had dry beef noodle (small for RM14) and my friend had lei cha (RM9.50 for white rice). Beef noodle was alright to me (forgot to mention that it's laden with MSG, so just be forewarned) but at that price, don't think I will go for seconds. Friend disliked the lei cha due to the "cha" being too thick and vegetables that aren't chopped smaller / finer. Had "teh ais" (RM3) and it was OK
Service was fine I guess although no waiters came to take drink orders from us. Had to call for one to come instead. Could be that we came less than 1 hour before closing, hence the lack of attentiveness due to fatigue, maybe? Still giving them a 3-star (decent) rating
The problem is the atmosphere here. The kopitiam is fine but I simply can't close 1-eye without touching about the surrounding Court 2 area where this kopitiam is located. Parking is a chore (unless you come here by the LRT USJ7 or PJ01 bus) and the vicinity of this shophouses + flat area is simply filthy. There's even a drunkard nearby when I arrived there. My friend said they will not be coming back here and that's totally...
Read moreexcellent eats off beaten track of taipan and 15. parking within apartment complex is problematic, so walk here to offset calories to be consumed, if transit is local.
wantan mee is particularly good, and offers both ngau lam and pai kuat. high-protein low-carb combination is to order a singleton of noodles kosong, with protein items on the side.
chai tau kueh is about as good as you'd get this far north of its spiritual heartland. perfect texture of crispy char outside, and succulent in. green beans are clever addition for both crunch and bitter.
lei cha and sabah beef noodles are also excellent. latter is best with spare parts, for textural contrast. soup comes in both clear and dark forms. former is gentle, while latter packs heat. power, there is, on both sides of force.
jiaozi is good. ditto oink soup.
tau eu bak noodles is a notch below. liao is fine, but ramen is too floppy.
ditto chee cheong fun, supposedly authentic guangdong style. construction with lettuce and cabbage lend themselves with very different texture, both chewy and crunchy...
