Texas Chicken SS15 Courtyard — Restaurant in Subang Jaya

One of the current alternatives to some colonel's fried chicken chain, offering competitive portions and servings.

I came by with my youngest fast-food obsessed kid who picked this over the colonel option mainly because it had refillable drinks. A deal breaker than which I can't blame him for and boy was it a relief to have drinks on the tap as their spicy fried chicken option positively sizzles both on your fingers and in your mouth. This points out to freshly pressure fried deeply marinated pieces of chicken. The result; a very satisfying light lunch set which I just needed a single serving that's good enough for two and an added side of coleslaw. Oh, my kid awarded top marks for their 'slaw which was not over drenched in dressing with the shredded cabbage still retaining that crisp crunch. Top marks then. Some fine dining restaurants can't even come close to this salad side. It is that good. Would I come regularly? Well maybe once every several months in between as there's so much other choices outside. Still recommended if you ever crave deep Southern fried chicken. Currently opened only for takeaway or delivery orders only in accordance to the ongoing Ministry of Health and government MCO directives.

One of the better fried poultry eateries. The big attraction here for their substantially sized chicken servings is the refillable soft drinks dispenser. Hopefully dining in will be allowed sooner...

After a long time, went to this outlet @SS 15 Subang Jaya. The place not brightly lit up. Looks dull and not friendly. Only one counter open during my visit. The counter staff seems to be novice. Not well versed with meals offered. The system to inform dine-in customers that food is ready not working or friendly. One has to walk back to the counter to confirm ones order number displayed for collection. The drinks (free refill) dispensing counter not well monitored. Ice cubes and some drinks offered not available. Sprite and lemon drinks only dispensed some water. Went to counter to inform about it. But the staff seems to be not interested to listen what the customer trying to say. It took a while to get the staff come and check the drink dispenser. Upon checking, it was confirmed two of the three types of drinks offered is empty or no more gas. Staff manage to replace only one cylinder and I manage to get my drink (leman). Only tomato available. Chilli source not available. I noticed many customers mostly nearby college students willing to accept the shortage of drinks, ice cubes and Chilli source. Not keen to inform the counter staff. Hope the management wake up the supervisor in...

MENU RAHMAH is da BOMB!

Good: Wanted porridge and I purposely waited 40 minutes for it and they duly send it to the table where I'm seating so kudos to the staff. The drink station is almost always fully stocked with ice and tea unlike certain outlets in the morning

Bad: Very niggling matters like forgetting to give you serviette, pepper for your porridge, spork for your coleslaw but all those can be solved by heading to the counter and asking the staffs for them

Ugly: Avoid coming here for dinner as most of the items on their menu will be out of stock. The drink station during this time will also be void of their syrup so you'll only be getting carbonated water

Overall, one of the best TCM outlet I've visited and it's readily accessible as it's just beside the mall's...
