Came here with my family on a Saturday night. We were almost turned away by a gentlemen citing full house, we said we are willing to wait and we got our seats within 5 minutes. Glad we insisted on waiting The food was good our group of 4 adults and 3 children were very satisfied. We ordered the medium set for 4 to 6 pax. Some enjoyed the gulai fish, while I enjoyed the prawn petai. Wife enjoyed the paku belacan stating that it was full of belacan and flavourful. The gula Melaka cendol pleased everyone. Although the texture of the cendol itself (the green stuff) could be improved, the gula Melaka was the star of the dessert. The unavoidable downside of Nyonya food is that most of the dishes are spicy, so the kids might not enjoy the food as much. The interiors is very beautiful as you can see from the photos. If it was less crowded there would be many photo ops. My Singaporean friend was very excited to find yellow construction boots signed by Phua Chu Kang and Rosie. It was also comfortable with air-conditioning. This is a mom and pops establishment, so the lady boss who served us was attentive and made jokes with us. Would have been fun to find out more about their restaurant but I'm sure she was busy serving dinner. If you are planning a visit, best to make a reservation as the restaurant doesn't have many tables. Price seems fair for what we ordered, no complaints here.

Update: Came here recently and found the cendol to be much tastier now. The dishes we ordered were pretty good too. Unsure if anything's changed, but I hope they'll be able to maintain the quality as such! -------- Penang nyonya food in the neighbourhood. Place gets abit stuffy even with the A/C. Deco is nice, lots of antique furniture which gives it the nyonya house vibes. Laksa and cendol didn't quite hit the mark as both tasted slightly watered down, at least for me.

We ordered the Inche Kabin, kailan salted fish and a sizzling taufu. The food was more Chinese centred rather than nyonya and that was at best, average on all counts. Service was good. 14 Aug 2020 - you are billed as a nyonya restaurant. if you have decided to diversify your offerings you should inform your customers. Not the other way around. It is a silly reply.
