Cafe Du Brazil — Restaurant in Birgu

The Cafe du Brazil is a perfect place for breakfast, lunch or a very early dinner in Birgu. You have a good view over the Birgu plaza from there. It offers the possibility to eat inside and outside of the restaurant, although it has to be said that the inside space is quite limited. However, it has fans there and gives place for approx. 12 customers to sit down there if it is too hot outside. It also has sockets if you want to charge your mobile phone in there. A toilet is to be found in the left hand corner from the enterance. Be advised that there is just 1 toilet there! The others customers outside have to be satisfied eating under umbrellas. The staff is friendly and quick in serving especially if there are not many customers around and if they are not understaffed.

Most of the dishes there are delicious and affordable. The breakfast, the salads, wraps and the sanwiches are always fresh, tasty and quickly served as well as the softdrinks and the very delicious coffees. The cakes like the snickers, Oreo cake or the apple pie fit wonderfully to the coffee as well. However the carott cake is not to be recommended, as it simply tastes like a good cake but not as a carrott cake. Additionally the starters like the garlic bread or the bruschetta were done well but considering other restaurants definitely not as tasty.

Be careful about the side dishes. It is normally written on the menue card but if you are not sure, you can ask the staff: Normally the dishes come with salad, chips or fries. If you do not want one of these, you can easily express your wish to cut it out. The staff will fulfill your wish without hesitation. If you do not plan to eat in the restaurant, take away is also possible. Payment is by cash or card although you have to go to the desk for that, but that should not be much of a problem and goes swiftly.
