I am a person not get used to sharing my thoughts over platforms but this will be for a good reason.
We had a (Birthday) booking table for two, asking the restaurant to have a detail at the end with a candle, they confirmed not problem.
On our arrival we order calamari, here it is when the shows starts, living in Malta sorrounding about sea and serving you frozen fish, is like order beer and receive it Coca-Cola. Very disappointed about the quality and size of the dish, with a poor decoration of rockets.
After this amazing experience we gave a second chance, ordering Tagliata Di Carne, THE BEEF WAS COLD, it was waiting on the pass of the kitchen arriving late, this is not acceptable in a restaurant, is a basic nocion of hospitality, food needs to be warm, Beef arrives with FROZEN POTATOES and FROZEN VEGETABLES, why you do not cut some potatoes fresh which cost 1€/Kg and you keep your guest satisfied with quality, or you think the people is not going to realised about this small details, Beef come with same poor decoration rocket, cherry tomatoes and parmesan. (LEFTOVERS)
After this show I was not going to order more frozen food, we ask for the bill, no questions, no service, no feedback.
I am thinking how this place is can still running, the answer is the location, the conclusion is try to offer fresh products and put a bit attention to details 6 waiters for 6 tables and the food cold and deplorable service. If I was the owner I will be very worried.
Reflexion: I still believe there is some professional chefs in Malta where they are passionate about what they are doing and they keep the guest satisfied to work: "WORD TO MOUTH" and unforgettable experiences.
Unfortunatly, this was ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE NEVER...
Read moreRude staff. They had a happy hour that’s was 2 for 1 cocktails. First we asked if we could substitute the type of liquor in one of the drinks and they said that was fine. Which was nice of them - we would’ve understood if they said they couldn’t do that but they said it was no problem. We also had one round of dark and stormy and then when we ordered the next round they said they didn’t have enough ingredients to make it so we asked if we could just do rum and coke instead of rum and ginger beer since they didn’t have ginger beer. They didn’t tell us it wouldn’t be eligible for happy hour specials. When I asked about it they had 3 people talk to us 3 separate times and acted like we weren’t speaking the same language and said that rum and coke isn’t a cocktail and isn’t eligible when we asked for a happy hour drink that the sold out of and then asked for a replacement. So it was fine to change the type of liquor on the drink but not the mixer. So they removed our current rum and cokes from the table and then brought new ones that were ‘happy hour’ it was really just dumb and tedious and poor service they should’ve apologized for the confusion and said they’d adjust the total. but their was no consistency. No reason to switch out the drinks? I’d be careful checking the bill for how much they charge you. It was just handled very poorly it should’ve been much simpler but I had to explain myself multiple times just to have our drinks replaced with the...
Read moreWent to this restaurant as a family of twelve. Amongst other things we ordered the Octopus linguini and Rib eye steak. Both were exceptional especially the Octopus dish. Desert all around was dry and old, well past it's "serve-before-date" We ordered coffee, it came without milk so I asked and asked and went to the bar and when it came fifteen minutes later it was straight out of the fridge cold, went well with the cold coffee. Main course was missing a dish and desert was missing a portion too. When we asked for desert the waitress told us what was available and most of what she said went unheard. A family member in a ♿ needed to use the washroom. The ones in the restaurant were not disability accessible and the one down below in the common area was locked. We had to pay and drive to our apartment across the island to Balluta. Oh yes the bill came to over 300 Euros but the waiter came and told everyone in a loud voice " Hold on hold on we don't accept 200 bills" which we then paid using 50's. Overall this place has a good chef and kitchen staff, terrible wait staff and a management team that is indifferent to customers especially those with disabilities. BAD EXPERIENCE OVERALL, WE COULD HAVE DONE MUCH BETTER. NOT RECCOMENDED, AN EMBARRASSMENT TO...
