I went to this place in late August for drink and something to eat. It was a quiet weekday afternoon, and only 20% of the tables were occupied. I chose a table in outdoors area overlooking the marina. A waitress (whom eventually turned out to be the supervisor) saw me coming, looked at me (thus acknowledging my presence) and then turned away. After some 15 mins, another waiter walked past my table, delivering some drinks to another table, looked at me, and then went back in the restaurant. After another 10 minutes, a third waitress walked past, looked at me and, just like her colleagues, ignored me. In the end I had to call her in a loud voice and asked her to take my order. After another ten minutes, the first waitress (who was responsible for my table) brought my drink. I was planning to order something to eat but in the end I lost my patience and decided to leave. To cut the story short, I had to ask for the bill three times, before, after another 15 mins, it was finally brought to me. I told the head waitress (an Asian looking lady) that I was not impressed with the level of service and the fact that she ignored me in the first place. She told me she was busy, to which I replied that only a handful of tables were occupied. Instead of apologising and trying to diffuse the tension, the woman started arguing with me in front of the other customers and waiters. I asked to talk to her supervisor (a person called Jonathan) to which she refused. All in all, a very bad experience. If you want to be upset and antagonised and have an argument with the waiters, go to this place. Otherwise,...
Read moreBad place to have a lunch, waiter or the menager was rought, told us if we dont like the table to leave. Food was disappointing, ordered Qinoa salad, supposed to be with vegetables and nuts but was full with qinoa and some letuce. Drinks where late, came after the food, and the second order for drinks was forgotten and told us thats was brought to our table and we denied it 😁There where some nice and friendly waiters too but most of all disappointed. Will not go again for sure.
By the way as i can not reply on your feedback …. Yes we came there without reservation and the place was busy, and so far if there is no table, they can nicely let as know that you are fullybooked. Regarding my friend ,, shouting ,, the waiter gave us that table and shortly the manager came with a couple to gave it to them, and she was thinking they came after us wich was misunderstanding and not an excuse for the attitude of the Menager of the restourant. I didn’t even want to sit after that but my friend insist. And its very rare to I leave an review for a place, but this was not professional at all. For the rest apologize accepted, I had a lunch at home...
Read moreThe Cargo restaurant is situated near the waterfront. Although the cars pass by it is a pretty quiet place to eat. Eating at a late hour might be a slight problem as the kitchen closes at 10pm. So be quick in your order. Additionally it would be wise to ask one of the staff members if you can sit on a table instead of waiting to be seated because they did not seem to see you at the entrance. However, it has to be said that the staff, once you had your table, was very friendly and quick in taking the order. This might have also been possible due to the late hour. Each table, as seen in the pictures, has a drink menu card, salt, pepper, a vinegar and an oil bottle which fits as a table decoration if you want to see it that way. The food, it was Cheese garlic bread and some Ceasar salad, was well done, quickly served and tasty, although the Ruccola was a little bit to dry and the salad sauce definitely not homemade All in all, a good harbour restaurant with the...
