We went to the Boa this afternoon because we we’re interested to eat some arancini (proposed on the menu board in big).
After 15min having ordered the drinks, we got only one, the other one had to be replaced because it was contaminated by an ant according to the waiter (bad luck). Nothing to worry the other drink came about 10 min later.
When the first drink has arrived, we ordered Aranchini and our main course but the waitress checked because she was not sure there were some left.
Great she announced one was left. No problem we will share then.
Then we waited around 30min patiently before the lady told us that the order was not taken into account and excusing for that.
We were very understandable and thought they will do their best to serve us quickly.
A little bit later, another waiter told us that there were no arancini finally and asked us if we wanted something, we said no with a clear disappointment (I assume the aranchini was served to someone else by mistake)… and waited for the rest, hoping it will come soon.
We kindly got slices of bread with 8 olives. At leat something to eat..
15min later we saw that several clients which arrived after us were paying the bill or served before us even if they arrived 40 min later.
We decided to leave the restaurant after having waited for a non existing arancini and no clue if our orders will arrive one day.
We got no excuse from staff and clearly a lack of courage particularly from the team leader who sent other staff members because she was ashamed of announcing the bad news …
We are very friendly and easy client, very respectful of people. We understand that it is not always easy to manage clients, orders,… but a professional restaurant should clearly care more about clients … there is obviously a lack of communication.
I suggest you strongly to avoid this restaurant which had a very...
Read moreWe booked a table for 9 indoors, & called to add 3 people - it was no problem. However, when we showed up we were seated at a table for 9 outdoors.
Some of us had ordered drinks as we arrived but were given them over 30 minutes later.
One of us ordered a starter, and they brought it 1 hour & 45 minutes AFTER the main course, which was incredibly disappointing, especially considering that we reminded two of the waiters several times, only to be told it would be arriving very soon.
We also asked for some bread to accompany our main course but it had run out which is very odd and uncommon, especially in Malta. We heard from other guests that this is a common problem.
It must be said that the food was incredibly delicious, albeit slightly pricy considering the quality of the service. The Argentinian steak I ordered was cooked perfectly, the trio of sausages was wonderful (even though it arrived late) and the imqaret were delicious. The seafood portions appeared to be small.
Finally, on the menu, it was written that the ‘Lobster Linguine’ cost €30. When we read over the bill, we discovered that they had changed us €36 for it. When we asked about it, we were told it was the old price. A notice about the price would have been appreciated.
Overall, we were very impressed by the quality & taste of the food but incredibly disappointed with the service. There is great potential in this restaurant but the service must...
Read moreLet me start by raving about the burger - it was hands down one of the best burgers I have ever tasted in my life. From the first bite, I was blown away by the incredible flavor, juiciness, and perfect balance of spices. Every component of the burger was executed flawlessly, and it left me craving more long after I had finished. But the greatness didn't stop there. The fries served alongside the burger were out of this world - crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. And let's not forget about the sauces - they elevated the entire meal to another level. I also had the pleasure of trying their fish and chips, and I was equally impressed. The fish was cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and tender, flaky flesh inside. It was served with a side of perfectly cooked chips that were simply irresistible. Beyond the delicious food, what truly sets BOA apart is the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The servers were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of amazing.
Overall, BOA has earned its place as my favorite restaurant in Malta. If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience with delicious food, friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere, look no further. I can't wait to visit again on my next...
