I used to love this restaurant but this love ended this sad morning when they decided to sacrifice customer satisfaction over a slice of bread. I ordered Swale Eggs and asked for sourdough bread using Wolt. They called me saying it comes at an extra €1 charge to which I said they can go ahead and charge me. They called again saying the app didn’t allow it so they can’t make the swap. I asked if they could edit the order (I had dessert) for it to be the equivalent in cost and they said it was too late as they already started preparing the dessert. So in the end this restaurant was happy to leave a customer who tried to accommodate and pay for extras disappointed because of a slice of bread. Let that sink in: a slice of bread. Frankly, I don’t even understand why a restaurant that takes pride in their food would charge extra for A SLICE OF BREAD. So this is why I will never go again. When I brought it up, the owner told me, “We can’t list everything or the menu would be a paragraph.” Seriously? Every other ingredient was listed, so why leave this one out?
To make things worse, the waiter tried to brush it off by saying it’s “fine now” because they’ve changed the bread, which makes zero sense. She was incredibly rude and basically implied it was my fault for not expecting mayo, even though the burger already had another sauce clearly listed, which just added to the confusion.
