Located in the vibrant heart of Gzira, Malta, Picaresco Italian Cuisine is an absolute must-visit for any food lover. I had the pleasure of savoring their freshly deboned sea bream, a dish that truly stands out and it is on the fresh fish selection. The sea bream was expertly prepared, with every bite revealing tender, flaky meat that melted in my mouth. The accompanying vegetables were perfectly cooked and seasoned, subtly enhancing the fish's natural, exquisite flavors without overpowering them.

One of the highlights of this dish was the visible juiciness of the fish. When pressed, the mouth-watering juices were evident, a clear sign of its freshness. This level of quality is achieved through careful preparation, with the sea bream shown to me before cooking and ready to serve in just about 20 minutes. The attention to detail in both the presentation and the cooking process was impeccable.

Manager Lorenc ensured that my dining experience was flawless, adding a personal touch that made my meal even more enjoyable. The ambiance of Picaresco, with its stunning sea views, provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and memorable meal.

Beyond the food, the cocktails were expertly mixed, offering great value for their quality, especially during the happy hour from 3-7pm. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. Picaresco Italian Cuisine is a true culinary gem, and I can't wait to return for another...

Never stop there... It's a scam. Prices are very high compared to Malta's standards, and food is very cheap and with small portions. I ordered chicken strips with lemon juice, i got a processed chicken breaded scallop of a very small size (I had eaten two small strips on the picture, and two pieces of potatoes) with a small portion of potatoe wedges for 17.60€... My friends had burgers at 18€ they had nothing with just a small meat patty, a salad leaf, one processed cheese slice, and onions, served with frozen chips... And when it was time to pay, the waiter tried to scam me on the price... Just one special big up for their very nice waitress Charlotte who's been very nice and comprehensive.

I add this part of the comment after the owner's reply : yes my comment is true, I took pictures of your plate, and the burgers are 18€, my dish, the chicken strips were 17.60€. When I was served I told Charlotte, your waitress, that it was really small for 17,60€, then when I started eating I discovered it was processed chicken, not even real chicken... She told me she had told you what I said. No commercial gesture was done, and your waiter tried to make me pay more and wasn't nice at all. I don't post fake reviews, as I like to discover new places and I have many other reviews on Google... I want to keep my local guide status. You are the liar by saying it's a fake comment. I did eat at your restaurant, and you scam tourists but clearly don't want to recognize...

I just visited Picaresco Restaurant in Gzira - Italian Cuisine, and I must say, it was very good. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted very well by the staff.

Our waitress, Marija, was incredibly kind and professional, making sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. She was attentive to every detail and accommodating to our special request. My friend and I ordered the Diavola pizza, but instead of mozzarella, we opted for burrata as a substitution. The result was phenomenal – the burrata added a rich creaminess that paired perfectly with the spicy elements of the Diavola. (Photos attached!)

The menu is thoughtfully curated, offering a range of classic pizzas, fish , classic Hamburgers, dolci for dessert, steaks and much more. They offer impressive selection of cocktails and wines. There’s truly something for everyone here.

Another waiter, whose name we didn’t catch, was equally kind and welcoming, adding to the great atmosphere of the place. It’s clear that the staff genuinely cares about providing top-notch service.

Overall, I highly recommend giving Picaresco Restaurant a try. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic Italian pizza, Classic Hamburger, Fish of the day and much more, you won’t be disappointed. Congratulations...
