Thai Tastic Tucker, Game On!

Wifey and I went out to sample the delights of Gzira and came across Jungle Joy.

The bar area is open fronted onto the pavement and was very busy when we arrived. To the rear of the bar area is a dining room that serves Thai Food created by Pad Thai Kitchen. After our fantastic time in Thailand we were hooked. The fact they could serve Hugo Spritz cocktails sealed the deal. ( Wifey tells me they were fantastic)

To eat we went for the Beef and Chicken Masaman curries accompanied by Beef and Chicken Pad Thai not realising that the Massaman curries came with a bowl of sticky rice each. So it was a huge feast but we were not deterred and the food was as authentic and good as that we had eaten all over Thailand.

The venue played a broad mix of music at just the right volume to allow conversation but fill the void and it was noticeable that nigh on everyone was chatting and not fixated by their phones. Another success for the place.

The staff were brilliant, friendly and welcoming and checked all was good without being overbearing.

The decor is unique and signed and carries the jungle theme through to the rear of the establishment where the toilets have computer games you can play as you wait for your turn, another great idea.

A bar/restau serving a variety of drinks and authentic Thai dishes in a cozy, green setting. Some points that stand out: The food: I tried the green curry with duck and the chicken pad thai. The serving sizes for both are very generous, though more so for the pad thai. Both are very flavourful, and for my taste just the right spicyness on medium. Their food game is definitely on point! The atmosphere: as the name suggests this place is green, joyous, and very welcoming. Plants hanging off the ceiling, the artwork on the walls and the wooden log decorations make this place stand out, not to mention the board games! Fancy playing a spirited game of chess with your friends while you toke away on some grass? No problem! As this bar allows for such recreational activities, providing the board games free of charge.
