Fior di Latte — Restaurant in Mdina

Ice cream is fine if you want it served with a side of racism and awful customer service.

After walking around for sometime I saw this shop and decided to treat myself to an ice cream. The guy in front of me placed his order and as he moved to my make his payment I had a clear view of the all the flavours and decided to record the selection of flavours.

The girl behind the counter, stops me and says please don’t record with a smug look on her face. Rather strange how she singled me out as I was the only black tourist in the shop and prior to this the white man in front of me was recording the door, the ice cream etc.. and didn’t get stopped once. Interesting.

I paid for an ice cream in the hopes she can save the money and buy a new attitude. If you don’t like your job or other people of colour, find another job and as a company invest in workers with a good attitude and adequate customer training. Similar reviews echo mine regarding attitude so a common occurrence.Other reviews also show the same pictures I was trying to take but I wonder if those customers were stopped. Again, interesting. If you have a no video or photo policy, put this on the door too.

Ice cream is amazing but the one of the girls does not have any idea of customer service. Very rude... Slammed the change on the counter top when my hand was ready to receive the change... One of the so called scoop was literally gathered from the ice cream scraper.... 1 lick and it was gone... I don't think a scoop should be completely gone with just 1 lick honestly. Unfortunately because of the service given will not go there anymore.... There are plenty of other good gelaterias. Day visited was yesterday afternoon... You should teach your staff to leave a good impression not a bad...

In such a beautiful place like Mdina, Fior di Latte is truly a blemish on the charm of the town. The ice cream was disgusting and tasted as if it contained chemicals—far from what I expected. My husband even found a hair in his scoop. The staff were incredibly rude, speaking in a dismissive tone and rolling their eyes when I asked for a taste. Given the high prices of their scoops, it was frustrating to receive such tiny samples. Overall, the experience was disappointing and did not match the...
